I'm usually the one that gets the expensive gifts. The one gift I got from my Ex boyfriend was flowers which I loved and his favorite Texas A&M t-shirt that I wear with pride. He might be confused about things but I love to remind him... well just remember "I'm here in the present, not the past and I have your favorite t-shirt." See if that jogs the decision. I would accept it depending on the situation.

Yes. It's a gift and he wants to give it to me. (I made myself laugh). There's no "catch" attached to it other then it being a simple gesture in my book.

As long as he doesn't expect something back for his kind and generous act then it's all good.

Yes, I have and still cherish those gifts (great watch and leather coat) even though we have parted ways.

Err, that would be awkward. If he'd learned anything about me at all while dating, I'd think he'd realize pretty quick that I'm not the kind of guy who's into jewelry.

I don't like jewelry so I probably would politely refuse explaining that if he wants to give me a gift, it's better to buy me sports equipment or electronics haha.

It's not really my thing, but hypothetically I wouldn't have a problem accepting it.

In reality I'd rather he take us on vacation icon_razz.gif

Absolutely! Platinum or 23k Gold settings with VVS1 or better rated round brilliant Diamonds at or over 2 carats, make wonderful gifts.

Please let me know when you're ready to send mine.

    Nope, I don't wear jewelry.

Oh wait. I'd accept it, sell it, and buy tons of bacon.

I am much more practical than that...
I don't like to wear expensive items, and I don't like the sense of waste.
I was raised pretty poor, and it seems to have turned me out very cheap! I'd return it and buy something like camera equipment or a dolly. Something to help me further my business.

What's with all the rude behaviors?

Presuming something is freely given, it's plain good manners to accept all gifts with sincere gratitude. How useful or desired or expensive is not at issue. Once received, you are free to cherish or dispose of the item as you wish.

Jewelry? Here's hoping my man knows me better. Get me an hd tv, a snowboard, camping/hiking gear, guitar stuff or videogames.

But jewelry? Just cuz we are gay doesn't mean we have to stereotype ourselves.

    WHORE!

....not that that means you loose any shine in shinra's book. icon_twisted.gif

I didn't know I would have to have sex with the guy in return! If that's the case...depends on how hot the guy is and how expensive the gift is. icon_razz.gif
