Heres some scary sh*t off the Occupy website. This is a list of some of their proposed demands. Where do people like this come from?

    http://occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-ows-demands/

Repeal the Taft-Hartley Act. Unionize ALL workers immediately.

Raise the minimum wage immediately to $18/hr. Create a maximum wage of $90/hr to eliminate inequality.

Institute a 6 hour workday, and 6 weeks of paid vacation.

Institute a moratorium on all foreclosures and layoffs immediately.

Repeal racist and xenophobic English-only laws.

Open the borders to all immigrants, legal or illegal. Offer immediate, unconditional amnesty, to all undocumented residents of the US.

Create a single-payer, universal health care system.

Pass stricter campaign finance reform laws. Ban all private donations. All campaigns will receive equal funding, provided by the taxpayers.

Institute a negative income tax, and tax the very rich at rates up to 90%.

Pass far stricter environmental protection and animal rights laws.

Allow workers to elect their supervisors.

Lower the retirement age to 55. Increase Social Security benefits.

Create a 5% annual wealth tax for the very rich.

Ban the private ownership of land.

Make homeschooling illegal. Religious fanatics use it to feed their children propaganda.

Reduce the age of majority to 16.

Abolish the death penalty and life in prison. We call for the immediate release of all death row inmates from death row and transferred to regular prisons.

    Release all political prisoners immediately.

Immediate withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Abolish the debt limit.

    Ban private gun ownership.

Strengthen the separation of church and state.

    Immediate debt forgiveness for all.

    End the 'War on Drugs'.

Hilarious. They left out a couple of things needed:

Eliminate the concept of money so that there is no more debt. Instead seize assets of the wealthy in lieu of taxes.

Or produce an endless money printing machine

Or demand, yes DEMAND China continue to fund us.

    Plus a few additional:

Eliminate the Department of Defense and disband the military

    Eliminate all police departments

Eliminate all grading systems in all schools and colleges, inherently unfair and racist

Make jobs optional to allow maximum creativity and thinking

Force all parents to be members of unions

Encourage all children to report their parents to authorities for any threats of punishments

Convert all stores into free distribution centers

Open all prisons and release all prisoners. They are all political prisoners, victims of a corrupt and unjust society. EVERYTHING WAS RIGGED AGAINST THEM!!!

Allow anyone to attend any school, college, or university. Attendance will not be taken and issuing of degrees will be automatic.

Someone should get an account on that site and add ideas like the above. They will become very popular with the anarchists and socialists.

If this is true, it demonstrates zero economic concepts. Some relevant ideas, but mostly absurd demands which hop onto the other end of the spectrum.

Some people need to work on sounding reasonable so they can fully utilise the voice they have been granted, instead of inviting scorn. But I think most of them don't have the sense.

But then again, I'm pretty sure not all OWS supporters have this "utopian" framework in mind.

I believe the Boot them OUT Crusaders have started to move them on in citys around the world. people have now had enough of their bullshit. Its time they now go get a job, to help pay off the bills they have created. Or do they expect the tax payer to pay for that too; how bloody selfish and destructive of them.

Time we get this public space back, so the public can use it agin. I know they blam Republican greed, over looking many democrats love status, nice things and to also drop names, so it's not a conservative thing, it's a human one.

The fact the URL above contains the word, "FORUM" should have alerted you that those are not official statements, but some random guy's opinions.

Just in case reading URLs is not your cup of tea, there is a BIG disclaimer on top that says (and I quote literally):

Finally, there is no "their" there. Occupy Wall Street does not have a centralized organization, only lots of people that are frustrated with the way the economy is run. They self-organized in an amazingly efficient fashion, and I bet there are going to be scored of political scientists and anthropologists that want to know how that happened in relative harmony.

Most of it sounds good to me actually.

Not sure we need to rape the rich people with 90% taxes though, but I'm all for some European level tax rates for everyone to make the rest of those things happen.

I disagree with removing private ownership of land, its something our country is built on and many people who immigrated to America did so because they would have never been land owners in Europe.

    Homeschooling isn't inherently religious either.

"Christopher" isn't able to understand basic concepts like "forum" or "decentralized movement".

He just reads things that make him feel better about himself (OWS are dirty) and then posts them verbatim without any thought.
