    Hi All,

I have been training hard with a personal trainer now for a month and have seen a great improvement in muscle mass and fat loss on my stomach.

I want to look my best for the beach and I have about 2 weeks left before I hit the beach for my summer holiday.

Would you recommend I continue with weight training or should I tell the trainer to do cardio like crazy...I wanna look as ripped as possible and I figured I won't put much more mass on now in the last 2 weeks?

What I am basically asking is which am I more likely to achieve in 2 weeks...increased muscle mass or getting really ripped.

    Any tips?

Two weeks is a perfect amount of time to become both massive AND ripped. I think the average amount of time for most of the guys on RJ is about 8 days. Ten if you really want visible vascularity.

In two weeks time, with proper diet and careful training, you can also learn to speak Chinese. You will probably be involved in a loving relationship by then too so I hope you are ready to make a committment.

In two weeks you will develop X-ray vision and be able to travel through time via worm holes that only VERY ripped dudes can see.

In two weeks you can expect to be a multi billionaire with a small colony of fitness experts living in condos that you built on the fourth ring of Saturn.

Hopefully in two weeks you will stop asking ridiculous questions.

    You have a bright future.

    Hang in there!!!!

Eh... I know a lot of models etc actually do prepare for shoots by dropping salt out of their diets and basically fasting... among other unhealthy things that I don't know much about...

You can cut fat quickly if desperate... Google it.

They already have very ripped muscle tissue. By eliminating water it just shows more. It does NOTHING to build muscle or eliminate fat that may be covering it.

It is also VERY short term - for the purposes of a shoot. Like no salt for the weekend for a Monday morning call time. Usually the effects diminish with the first stalk of celery.

It is purely esthetic - and can even be harmful.

Fasting usually has very little visible results. It is mostly mental - a "feeling" of being lighter / slimmer.

I have never know a male / fitness model who actually eliminates food before a shoot or runway show. The food may be extremely clean and simple - but they DO eat. The bigger issue is getting the look of "dry" muscle.
