The mind boggles at the possibilities.

My bike. My car. My cats.

The base station allows you to recharge the tag. It also sends out a beacon signal that puts the locator in power down mode as you probably don't need to search for your pet while he's home.

The achilles heel to this system is it relies on the cellphone network to send out a location signal. They appear to use Verizon's network for this service. The coverage maps between sites are almost identical.

This service does not use data roaming in Canada. It won't work there.

I think $8 a month isn't too bad. There are other tracking devices/services. But they charge up to $20 a month. If it can still operate while still charging, then it should be easy to hook it up to a vehicle's 12V or cig lighter.
