Energy and Motivation

    I SOOO need help with my motivation at the moment

    I am chronically over worked - a part time job mentoring students with learning disabilities combined with doing a part-time PhD. I fucking HATE my job. It is one huge stress ball. Id quit tomorrow if I didnt need the money.

    IN the past three months since taking this job Ive gone up two jeans sizes. Im now a flabby and ugly 33 inch waist. That's gross. Ive also got moobs. I disgust myself. I have never been so sedentary in all my life. Ever.

    Butyet I have no energy to work out. I am not over eating....far from it some days Im living on coffee, pain au chocolat and cigarattes.....jsut not exercising and have no energy.

    I quit caffeine as of last week. Ditto cigaraettes. But still no energy to work out. I went on Monday. And nearly fell asleep on the treadmill.....Went on Friday and managed 90 mins of cardio and core....and had no energy and was just doing the bare minimum. And hugely self conscious because I think I am fat and ugly with far too much loose flesh and bits wobbling about. Self esteem in minus figures.

    I need a kick up the arse. SOmeone to get me TO the gym. I know at the end of the day its down to me....but an outside input would be good.
    Not sure if I can afford a trainer...

    Anyone got any advice for motivation....and boosting energy levels??

    Can't help you with the gym bud from here but I can comment on your diet. Ditch the pain au chocolat! Switch it out for some protein, even if you are not hungry. I've started taking a pre-workout supplement to kick it in the gym, it really seems to put me in the right frame of mind for training. Perhaps mix a group cardio class to help with motivation. I'm sure the crew here will chime in with some awesome tips but this advice worked for me so it might for you. (I've gone from a 41 - 38 waist - still falling)

    Thanks. I know what my diet should be.and i know my diet is a bit rubbish at the mo....stress leading to cant be bothered apatyh and comfort food...

    Usually I get an ok breakfast of bran flakes with a banaananana, green tea and some OJ...lunch a chicken salad sandwich and evening meal is where I fall downas my house mate - who I cook with - doesnt like healthy eating and would prefer chips and meatballs in lieu of pasta and tuna.......

    Im sorry... I feel for you cause of the finding the motivation/time with school and all (I'm a senior about to graduation ... or maybe not.. classes are sketchy right now.) but really... "flabby size 33 waist" ? Fuck me running... really? I'd kill to be even that right now... lol
