I can see trimming, but completely shaving! Why would someone do that? Not only would you have to worry about ingrown hairs, but it looks like a prepubescent child.

Trimming gives a neater look and feel, plus less of that "ugh some wedged hair is being pulled" sensation.
Shaving made me feel like a naked chicken. I'm not going cold turkey ever again.
