I have bought this game even though I have only £50 left now to live until January. Judgement fail. Well, actually I bought it months ago, but now wish I hadn't , as I am living in China currently and can't play it until next July anyway. Still, It's Zelda and it's on a console, therefore I must own it.

When I went to get pick up my friend's copy, ALL the guy at Game Stop did is rip it to shreds. I think he really was upset about it, on a personal level. lol. Apparently the 'sword' action with the Wii-mote is pretty shaky and loose. Like this guy was actually having a small life crisis about it... haven't played myself though! But I want it!

Got it this morning when Best Buy opened :-) I got the box set too!

I like the game's soundtrack and the storyline seems interesting so far. My biggest gripe is how you are limited by a strength meter...that's not a spoiler, right?

    What do you all think?

I preordered it at GameStop and paid in full. Then I found out they WEREN'T going to do a midnight release, so I got a refund and decided I'd just get it at the 24 hour walmart at 12:01am...

But they didn't get shipped any of the limited edition ones with the gold Wiimote, so I stayed up until 6:45am and got to a department store just after they opened at 7am... and they said they were only shipped three and sold all of those last night at their midnight release...

But I had her call another location nearby, who said they had one but couldn't hold it for me as it was first come first sold...

So I dashed to the other store. They still had it!

I played for a couple hours and decided to take a nap... and slept for seven hours and played the rest of today.

I'm in love with it. I think it might be the best Zelda game ever.

I'm sort of a fan, says my five Zelda tattoos. icon_razz.gif

The guy at the GameStop is an idiot. He can't have played it yet, and clearly he's just basing his assumption on a completely faulty review GameSpot did on the game claiming the sword controls weren't accurate... which has been disproven by a bazillion rebuttal video reviews.

I can personally attest to the fact that the controls are extremely accurate. The problem I find with them (and that most people are probably having that make these complaints) is that when you start up the game each time and calibrate your Wiimote+ it's going to assume that's your position for the rest of the game play. If you start slouching in the couch, or migrate left or right progressively (which I keep tending to do) it makes it seem like the controls are off but that's only because you're no longer where you told the sensor bar is. So you have to make a concerted effort to stay in your chosen place on the couch. Or re-calibrate your controller when you realize you've inched your way out of calibration.

There is actually a 20 minute demo that was released prematurely for Zelda, I played it back in July at Comic Con, so he could've been telling the truth, the motion controls are still a bit finicky. Between this and ultimate Marvel versus capcom 3 I find that I'm playing the latter a lot more.

By that I mean Zelda will be a great game however it starts off pretty slow and it takes a while to get into the game. I think I suffer from ADD that's why like fighting games

The problem with so many Wiis and Wiimotes near each other with a lot of other infrared stuff is that it can cause interference, like in the infamous first demonstration by Miyamoto at e3 two years ago. It's not an issue with the controls but with interference at those places. That's certainly not the case in one's living room.

However, I do agree that it starts out a bit slow. All of the games since Ocarina have started out fairly slow before they let you get into a dungeon because I think Nintendo wants to make sure you fully understand the controls before they drop you into the action. I remember playing Ocarina for the first time and being so annoyed I had to go find the sword and shield and all of that bs before I could get into the Deku Tree. Similar thing here, but with the added flying tutorial as well.

Once you drop into Faron Woods, there's a sense of relief that you finally get to get moving on the action.

I actually just got my ass handed to me by the first boss. :/ So I've been taking a little break. icon_razz.gif

Fuck your bf, get your Zelda tattoo. Why would he freak? Does he have something against tattoos or videogame tattoos specifically?

Mine should be coming in the mail in the next couple of days. Zelda's my favorite video game series of all time, I basically grew up with it. I can't wait until it arrives. IGN even gave it 10/10 and the last time it gave a perfect score to a game was in 98 when Ocarina of Time was released.

I got it last night. I am right in the middle of skyrim so I am having trouble figuring out which game to play first.

I just got home from work and the gym and am installing the latest wii system update as I type.

I think I will at least try out the zelda for a little bit then head back to the world of skyrim until I at least beat that game with my mage character.

Sadly my Wii is not up at college with me so I will not be getting it but if I had my Wii I would have picked that over Skyrim which I bought yesterday.

Ha, that cartoon is rad. The mario one the same guy did is even better.

I'm pretty far into the game now and I'm still loving it. Even more, if possible. I really think it's the best Zelda ever.

I bought the deluxe version for my partner. He's more into the Wii and I'm a 360 guy. I watched him play for a while and I have to say this game is dulllllll when watching. It's ugly as sin when played on a HDTV. No voice acting kills me. I guess the sound track was alright though. He loves Zelda so if he's happy I'm happy.
