Using pepper spray against peaceful protesters is largely considered a human rights violation. In fact, Amnesty Intentional released a statement today condemning it.

But since we're both in NYC, I'm happy to meet up with you and spray it in your mouth to see how much you'll laugh then. icon_twisted.gif

They arent peaceful they are disruptive protestors. I would advocate the swift beatings with a baton, that will teach them to not listen to police.

Who were they disrupting when they sat peacefully on the campus?

BTW, I know it's a far trip but I'm equally happy to beat you with a baton so you can enjoy the human rights violations you so cravenly advocate.

Please, a beating from you is like a small gentle breeze!

Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, which is no surprise that you would be violent.

They disrupted the cops from moving, they asked for an hour to move off of the path and they did not. Video editing works wonders doesnt it?

Im surprised, their has been how many videos out of people disobeying police and getting pepper sprayed and people are still shocked that they get pepper sprayed when they disobey the police? My God, WTB intelligent protestors plz!

This doesnt even make sense Christian, have you really lost your mind?

No, comparing this incident to Kent State is like comparing smacking a rabid wolf like shooting a harmless kitten, you are just fucked in the head if you do.

If the police ask you to do something, you do it, if you dont comply you are against them. Protestors smoke too much pot to stand up?

Kent State and UC Berkely is a matter of degree. And if/when the police do fire on protesters, I'm sure you'll be the first to congratulate them.

Yes, because this happened at UC Berkeley and not UC Davis.

Get facts straight before posting please.

And spell the cities right, thank you very much.

So you will cheer when the first protesters are gunned down? I just want to be clear on your particular type of sociopathy.

Sweet Jebus Christian are you really upset that the protestors are getting pepper sprayed instead of shot? My god you have issues.

    Therapy, I suggest it.

Laying down in the street and blocking traffic at a major intersection is considered a traffic violation, but where is your outrage? icon_rolleyes.gif

Better yet, how about we go into his living room, bedroom, bathroom and sit down peacefully protesting our views since he cant do anything to remove us.

No, but its to prove a point that sometimes you have to get violent when you have persistent annoyance and defiance. I mean, you disobey police in riot gear you are going to get pepper sprayed. Simple as that.

Because it requires intelligent thought. If you dont like how the officer has acted, then you take it to the court and deal with it there.

No. It's because Americans expect to be able to exercise their First Amendment rights. You two are a perfect example of Ben Franklin's quote:

"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
