Many guys in their 30s are highly intelligent and mature. Also applies to many in their 20s as well.

I am 34. I was in the First grade when this happened. My father was a huge Reagan fan. We had a sign in our yard. I wish I could have been 34 when this happened though, then I could have cast my vote for him.

I'm sure you'll have no problem posting your long form birth certificate to verify your claim of being a) an American and b) 34. icon_twisted.gif

As a guy in my 30s, I'm inclined to agree with you, but "CHRISTOPHER" fails the 'highly intelligent" test with every post.

Most Americans loved Ronnie. He was just short of carrying Minnesota. That would have given him a 50 state sweep.

That must make me unqualified to be a member of the Occupy trash. Fine by me.

I was about 23, I well recall the fear I felt for President Reagan at that time. How he was able to do what jimmy carter could not; have hostages released, on the eve of his inauguration. I also feared he had access to the Red Button. But by the end of his term as President, I thought what a guy, what a man. What a bloody great president.

I also recall during his term in office of President, I worked for the gay community, and stood by it during the Gay Plague Era, when so many fleed, and hurt others; their very own brothers. I then recall how much of the left wing gay community of America turned on him, and blamed him for much of the devastation that had befallen the gay community from the fall out of AIDS, when those sins belonged to the gay community and not President Reagan.

President Reagan was good for America and the world too; thank sir.

Where were others on this very special night when 49 states voted to reelect President Ronald Reagan?

1984 is poly sci, not history.

It would have been interesting to see what he accomplished if elected in 1976. Would ppl still consider him a gr8 president? Or would he have crashed and burned? Plus the alzheimers wouldn't have marred his last 2 yrs in office, when he was no longer in control of his lieutenants.

Well, to get elected Reagan conspired with terrorists to prevent the release of American hostages so Carter would look weak on defense. In the face of that, what's a little memory loss? icon_twisted.gif

Oh, Christian, Christian, Christian. You're as predictable as your foes. I stop reading certain threads b/c they are simply a rehashing of previous ones. As a centrist, I seek a broad view rather than a Kalnienkian one.

Well your in a very small minority of people who didn't like him, but when Carter left office this country was a mess. Reagan is who fixed inflation, Reagan is who fixed unemployment, Reagan was who built our defense back up. Ronald Reagan will go down as the greatest in history.

Actually, Reagan's overall job approval rating was lower than a number of other presidents, including Clinton, Johnson, and Eisenhower. That the right has deified him posthumously is your own delusion.

Well, if you watch the video his approval rating was very high. People loved him.
