Now that SIRI got the buzz out and our heads and mouths turned to commanding our devices with speech, we suddenly realize speech recognition are everywhere, including that WinXP running PC that we now think belongs to a museum. Well, Android has Google Voice Actions, Windows XP, Vista and 7 has built-in Speech Recognition, even the Mac's OSX has its built-in voice navigation.

So, have you talked to your devices yet?

Yeah.. I train it to say the dirtiest stuff! Sounds even better when you're a little lit!

I use it to input text when I don't feel like typing.
Plus Siri is really a fun conversation starter. ;-)

I occasionally use the voice recognition features of Android as well as the Google website when opened with the Chrome browser.

using the standard navigation with voice recognition is awesome on my Droid X2. no matter where i am, i just say, even in general terms (like "American cuisine") what i'm looking for, and bam, there it is. When i travel, i use it to find the nearest gym to my hotel, even though i learned you need to say "health club" instead of "gym" - so it doesnt try to find every house that Jim owns.
