between having a brain injury with moderate cognitive deficits (no physical limits and assuming self-awareness preserved) versus a spinal cord injury (some use of arms, no cognitive deficits), what would it be?

--I personally cannot answer this and keep finding so much to consider, though I feel the answer would change throughout the different stages of my life. Just wanted to hear others thoughts.

Brain injury = you're less aware of your deficiencies... though this depends on the type of deficiencies.

The mentally handicapped are often happy.
Geniuses and simply those with high-functioning intellect are able to see the world for what it is, and are often clinically depressed.

I used to think my friends had major issues, and so did I... Then I realized that the same people who struggle the most among my friends could all be considered of very high intellect.
