No, I mean is there supposed to be some meaning/message behind that? I did not get that at all. And wasn't that about Hong Kong not Japan, and in English?

The message isn't just through words. Though the words fit into place to me.

I got the message that the singer is acknowledging the intensity of a far away place while she luxuriously watches TV then drifts into a semi-conscious state and day dreams. The lyrics are pretty obvious about it in the beginning. She's could also be fantasizing and romancing about a different place wishing she could be there, but being laying on the couch showing her slowing down and aging (she's actually 56 in reality).

You could also interpret it as programs on TV is reminding her of a romance she had with some dude a while back.

The beauty of it is the entire video is a blend of retro, color-altered, time-altered, hand-colored, animation-video. The video looks so genuinely and solidly crude compared to glossed over glamour scenes like in The Immortals. I guess I just appreciate all the hard work put into it coming from an editing/compositing perspective.

For the idiots who think I'm on acid, I've never tried it. But if this is what people on acid see, then that seems pretty cool. I'm not going to try it though. I can appreciate art without molesting my brain with drugs.

If I were to do Acid, I would do it in Japan overnight....

No, you don't hallucinate in the classic ideal sense of the word, it's more of a mental/emotional experience. People have very skewed views of hallucinogens, but so do people that do them, I guess. Just in a different way icon_razz.gif

JakeBenson, nobody actually thought you were on acid - lay off the pot, you're paranoid! icon_razz.gif (JAYKAY!)
