Permission to kiss, please: Is it plain silly or being polite?

Lately I noticed that whether drunk or sober, I would first ask a (random) guy's permission to (French) kiss him even if I don't have the slightest clue as to whether he's gay or straight. I think it's polite.
You'd be surprised of the compromise they're willing to put up with to make a leeway for you. Or maybe it's just the air in Dubai.
I am just wondering, if you had a (successful) hook-up let's say in a bar, do you ask for permission firsticon_question.gif --especially if the other party is the shy one?

I just say "wanna make out?" like I'm fifteen years old. Somehow it goes over well, probably because it is silly and it is polite.

I've only had one guy ever ask--they usually just go for it. As do I. Probably for fear of hearing a "no"!

That said, I still find it charming.

Rugger: Agreed. Was at the bar on Sunday and sure enough, someone looked at me and said "do you make out?" It was almost like a challenge. Heck yeah I do. Muah...

I've never really asked it's just kinda happened. I know when I have a guy in that "zone" where I could give him a kiss on the chin or do something flirty.. usually look into there eyes and flash em' my smile then I take it from there.

I'm learning how to use my powers.icon_razz.gif

I do sometimes, if am not sure about the other guy. Sometimes have just said it like a statement "am going to kiss you now" and if he doesn't say anything then go ahead. For they say don't ask the question whose answer you might not want as No. Slightly modified from original one but works for me icon_wink.gif

you don't ask, gawd that's just sooooooooo not the way to go.

you just do it, expectantly preferably, you jump, take a leap, give it a go, take'em off guard, it's completely awesome that way AND you really get to know how they kiss cause they aren't prepared!

I think it's kinda respectful... Though I wouldn't stop someone else from doin it to me. Well maybe if they needed to brush their teeth....

I've never asked. Usually it's if the chemistry is feeling right and the moment is there, kissing just happens. icon_biggrin.gif

It's your gimmick. It's yours, like the way some people can wear leather every where, have abundant body piercings, or say quirky things and it complement them. It's your thing, I don't think it would complement most people.

I think it's not just polite but just plain HOT. I am a southern boy myself and was always taught to treat a lady with a little respect. To bad I never really had the chance to try that on a lady before I had my first beau! Flash a smile like your embarrassed to ask and then say it!

    Yep just silly to ask.

The first time my last ex kissed me, our lips where touching, noses rubbing, yet we were talking. I thought that he was doing that as a turn on, since he was talking about ravashing my mouth, but no he was asking my permission to kiss me in an indirect fashion.

It worked because I'm a big slut and that turned me on, but God! it would be annoying if everyone asked my permission!

I've had my first boyfriend asked to kiss me.

He said it one of those really romantic, low, wanting voices. I was totally taken in by his crap. icon_redface.gif

It's always so attractive to me if a guy asks me to do something when he knows I want it and he wants it.

    ...

I need to stop thinking about stuff like that. icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

Like some of the brightest guys who've answered before me, I would not ask first for a kiss. No way. I just proceed until I reach an impasse. Here's how: Smile while looking into his eyes; drop your gaze quickly down to his lips, then back to his eyes - and again. By then - you're close, touching, and if you're looking good, full of confidence and you've got your game on, hell be dying for you to kiss him.
