Hey guys, I need to test out a new embedded player that should play mp4 videos on mobile phones and i-devices. Could you try this link for me on your cell phone and then tell me if it does or does not play and what phone you have? Thanks! Vic

Thanks guys. It's a player that detects iphone and ipad, and if not either, it becomes a flash-based player. That works on Android, but unfortunately not a lot of phones that don't have flash. The biggest pain in the ass as a producer and video distributer is all of these competing formats: Beta vs, VHS, DVD-R or DVD+R, Flash vs. Non-Flash and on and on. Sick of companies not sticking to a standard.

Yeah, I heard. Luckily on iphones and ipads it becomes an HTML5, non-flash player. The file type is actually H.264 MP4. I guess we still can't please everyone. icon_cry.gif

Blerg. Leave it to Charlitos to break the RJ code and act like a nice guy. It sickens me.

OK, fine. I tried it on an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2. It works. Both are using iOS 5.0.1, the latest version. On my PC, the video played automatically, but on the iDevices, it displayed a "play" button. Other than that, there wasn't any real difference.

My understanding is that there isn't a standard HTML5 video format, so that may add some fun for you.

Can we get back to talking about me now? I like cats. Discuss.

It works on my iPad. Btw, the trailer seems really creepy - kind of like The Blair Witch Project. It definitely makes me want to learn more about Abandoned.
