Being newly single, I have been forced to assess what my "type" is. Personally, I can't figure it out. I am just attracted to certain guys. there are traits that stand out more than others in my book, but I can't seem to roll it all in a type.

Does anyone else have a specific type of guy they look for?

No, but I generally gravitate towards dark-haired men more than blondes. I also gravitate towards people that are more introverted than extraverted. My most important criteria though is their "heart" to use an overused term. People that are generally kind and not cruel, racist or disrespectful to other people.

It's all about representation with me. I'm attracted to men who are very good representations of what they are supposed to be. At Toronto Gay Pride last year, I spotted this extremely compact (5'2") shirtless asian fellow with a body that was perfection. I also saw beautiful ripped men of every color and size, and mature guys that were holding it down too. I like to keep and open mind because surprises abound.

Of course I'm attracted to all sorts of different guys but there is one type that consistently rises to the top of the pack. I tend to be really attracted to athletic guys - not gym rats but guys that bike/climb/surf/skate/camp - who also have really big hearts. Masculine, athletic guys that are really sweet and full of life just get to me like nobody else. I love their combination of masculine action and boyish sweetness/enthusiasm.

Just yesterday I chatted a bit with this really cute guy who was riding all over LA on his bike and he had this huge grin on his face, I totally melted.

I meet those types a lot too and enjoy the interaction, but they always seem to be straight. They like to tell me about their girlfriends and such...sigh.

A rough an tumble looking guy, he looks like he'd win any fight over you, which is good. I guess this would be Antonio Banderes or someone like that. pretty sexy, huh?

I got the same result, however, Antonio isn't my idea of a rough and tumble bear; he doesn't have the frame for it.

This person is pretty straight laced and nerdy. but there's something attractive about him. maybe it's the tape on his glasses... you don't know but he's a little Tobey Maguire-esque... good luck with that!

Yeah, I had a lil romance with a guy like this last year and to this day part of me still doesn't believe he's gay.

I really don't have a physical type, so long as he is fitness minded to some degree.

For me its about personality and having ones act together. If the guy doesn't, there will be no respect. How he treats others is very important... if I see a lack of respect for other people, he's toast.

Someone who is well put together. Let me explain below:

Physically - Takes care of his body and health (a six pack would be nice)

Emotionally - Has balance and can flow with the situation (does not kick puppies)

Spiritually - Believes that we are all connected either through God or by some means i.e. has some humanity (believes that the world revolves around more than himself)

Financially - Someone who is employed or in school, some one with goals (I'm not looking for a sugar daddy)

Oh and if they happen to be muscular short hottie that plays baseball then they go from my type to my fantasy (there is a difference)!!!
