Just did it. Not sure what's going to happen, but I'm redoing part of a road trip I took seven years ago that turned out to be a wild, wild, wild, wild ride.

That's why I wasn't showing my face pics all this time. I'm free now.

Please follow me on this journey at http://reliablenarratives.wordpress.com. Add Devon Britt-Darby on Facebook or follow me at http://www.twitter.com/dbhyphend.

It's a lot to take it, and a lot of it might not make sense for awhile. But this is an ongoing social sculpture, and your participation can help shape it for better or worse. We are making art.

Interesting. And it really says something that you could legally get married to a woman where there was no real connection and guys who have been committed to each other for decades can't.

    Good luck on your journey!

The only ones who are mocking the "institution of marriage" are the ones who disallow same sex marriage.

It's absolutely on topic. Reliable Narratives is a place where art, sex, religion and life converge.

Also on topic: cowboy hat or no cowboy hat?

Well the Chronicle actually ran this article:
    http://www.29-95.com/art/story/art-gay-marries-woman-be-warmup-act-amateur-strip-contest
So the axe of retribution has yet to fall.
Lose the hat. It lacks artistic conviction, as cognoscenti of such things would be quick to note.

For you? Both, sexy. If anybody wants to pitch in, here's a handy dodo dada training guide (includes wedding footage!)

very interesting, but you put in way too many "subtitles" that were too long and became difficult to read while also trying to focus on what you were saying...

That was before the wedding. They haven't run anything since, and I've definitely put them in an awkward position. The axe may not have fallen, but I can't get into my work email anymore, which tells me they've noticed.

Thanks for the feedback...it's such a complicated story to compress down, but hopefully I'll get better with practice.

Forgot to reply to this yesterday. I try not to overexplain things, but the hat is a nod to Joseph "Everyone's an artist" Beuys (Google him if you don't get the reference).

Because it was purchased at Target, which we're supposed to be boycotting, it also provides evidence that my intention in marrying a woman, although a political gesture, was never about political correctness.

Now if you think it just doesn't look good that's another matter.
