I’ve listened pretty carefully to him since he was minority whip in addition to his syndicated broadcasts on PBS back in the day when he still taught. He certainly is an idea man plus IMO brilliant, but undisciplined at times. Even with his considerable baggage, maybe he is what we need right now.

I never heard of "Newsmax" but one look of the website told me it's just another conservative, right-wing propaganda machine.

I did read the article though and found that it was the reporter, not Clinton using terms like "praise", "credit", and "impressed." If you read just Clinton's actually quotes it comes across more as a third-party analysis of Gingrich's strengths and weaknesses as a politician. Far from being any kind of endorsement.

I'm left wondering what on earth they feel they have to gain suggesting Clinton is a supporter of Newt Gingrich. This same gaggle of inglorious goons were most certainly there on the front line calling for Clinton's ouster after the Lewinsky affair. icon_rolleyes.gif

jpBITCHva saidAmazing that anyone thinks Newt is brilliant.

    He's a gasbag with a third-rate education and a tenth-rate mind.

"He received a B.A. in history from Emory University in Atlanta in 1965, a M.A. in 1968, and a PhD in modern European history from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1971"

Emory ranked 20th overall and Tulane is ranked 50th overall

    Yes, we 'know' Bill Clinton

"When Bill Clinton is involved, there is always a political motive at work"

    I don't disagree.

Ok, let's take a look at another ugly bunch of "inglorious goons" by the name of a rag called 'The HIll' - right wing bastards they are

    http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/195513-clinton-praises-gingrich-for-thoughtful-response-on-immigration

"Clinton praised Gingrich's response, saying it "splits the difference between the immigration reforms proposed by President Bush and President Obama, which would give a path to citizenship, and would be a version of what President Reagan did.”

The former president added that Gingrich's "red card" immigration plan which would grant legal status to undocumented immigrants with jobs but would not automatically place them on a track to receive citizenship was a "thoughtful response."

Clinton credited Gingrich's performance in the GOP debates for his resurgence in the presidential race. "I think he’s doing well just because he’s thinking, and people are hungry for ideas that make some sense," said Clinton."

I don't know, it sounds like praise to me!
