Have you ever had a roommate? Hopefully, you never had to read notes like these. icon_lol.gif

These are quite funny. I especially like the dishes one, I think it was creative.

I've had a roommate in the past who left notes like these. I responded much better to other roommates who actually came to me in person instead of being petty.

the first time i left a note for my idiot straight roommate it boiled over to this HUGE fight with him where i called him out on his shit and he called me names. Isn't it nice knowing that you're more mature than people years older than you?

You and me would be perfect roommates. I can fucking clean like WHAT!?!? I can leave a sink looking fucking transparent. And you can cook. icon_biggrin.gif

I miss having good roommates. My last roommate sent texts... while we were both in the apartment... about things like "Could you hold the handle while you shut your door? The latching sound is too loud."

And now I live by myself.

I chose a roommate from my H20-polo team and right after graduation (college) I found a nice 2 bedroom apt. and furnished it with antiques, rugs, art, silver & china I paid for. I worked my tail off at my first job, and was also paying off my student loan. I tried to take very good care of my things, since they didn't come free. My good buddy from the team turned out to be an inconsiderate roommate. He was the worst slob I could imagine. He completely disrespected the apt. and furnishings. He couldn't lift a finger to clean up after himself, and was sometimes abusive to my belongings. I tried a few conversations and notes. Nothing changed. One night I brought my b.f. over to the apt. and found the place one royal mess. The roommate had had one Hell of a party, and then everybody had split for another party, and left the place a pig sty. Records & tapes scattered around, candle wax and glass rings on the furniture, some glasses & china broken, half eaten plates of dried food everywhere - - what a G.D. mess. I was livid. The next day we had a fight - physically. That was this Bozo's last day as my roommate.

Notes? They didn't work in my case. How could such a great teammate be such an inconsiderate slob?

What I learned is to sit down with a prospective roommate and have a 'Come To Jesus Meeting' with him. I learned to really communicate that I was super clean, organized and reasonably careful of my furnishings. I would look a prospective roommate in the eye and make sure he agreed that living in a super clean place was cool with him. Communication is key.

My very last roommate I ever had was an idiot.

When he moved in I had him sign a 1 year lease with a $500 deposit.

Jump 1.5 years into the future. In the lease, it stated that no pets were allowed being that I had a dog and a cat. There wasn't room for anymore. One day he brought a dog home that he was watching for a friend while she was out of town or something for a month, but I thought it was a week. It kept getting longer and longer.

The dog kept tearing up this and that and chased off my cat. I told dip shit about the issue with the dog and the lease that he signed. He said " well that lease was for a year and it's been longer so it doesn't apply anymore."

I replied "Dip shit... The lease still applies, it just goes month by month after the year is up as stated with the same rules." now the dog chased off my cat and I can't find her(never did)

He also deliberately turned one of the seat cushions around so that the eaten part where the dog chewed wouldn't be seen. This was an expensive couch.

He was booted and never received his deposit back. He was pissed that he didn't get it back. Wtf... Are you that stupid???!!!! Later dip shit!!!

I always hated notes. I would always just yell directly at my roommates. I was always friends with my roommates so it wasn't a big deal to just tell them these sort of things. My roommate now is one of my best friends so instead of writing notes I just scream "CLEAN YOUR DAMN DISH YOU IDIOT OR I WILL BREAK IT OVER YOUR HEAD!" Gets the job done just as well.

I just yell at my roommates (I have three of them)... well, I yell at ONE of them... and I also sometimes threaten to set his bed on fire while he is sleeping, or throw him down our staircase (we are three stories up with one single staircase), or I just hit him.

But I do it out of love...

and plus, he always deserved it.

This reminds me of a living situation I had. It was me, my friend, and this dumb bitch whom I dont converse with anymore.

Well, their were always dishes in the sink, and the dumb bitch would yell and me and my friend about doing the dishes. At the time I knew I did my dishes and my friend knew he did his, so we blamed each other for not doing the dishes.

Xmas vacay comes, and she moves out for 6 weeks. 2 weeks into it, we notice their are no dirty dishes. We talk, it turns out we were doing our dishes, she wasnt doing hers, then she complained that there were dishes. We confronted her, she accused us of ganging up on her.

    Worst roommate ever...
