    it appears that age, the wishes of his partner, and that he's in a "safe" Democratic district are all playing into his decision.

    I have no idea what the reason is but I'm guessing that the Democrats are going to have to move more to the right, being that the Republican politicians have moved to extremist levels of the right, in order to have a chance in 2012. We are seeing all over the World that governments are moving more and more over to the right and it will result in the recovery taking much longer because of it. Austarity policies all over the World will slow down the economies all over the World as well.

    I think that current polls are showing that Republicans will control both the House and the Senate from the 2012 elections. So Democrats need to do what they can to prevent that from happening. If the Republicans would pick someone like Huntsman, they would have control over everything. With Romney, they have a shot at it happening.

    People are unhappy and we will probably jump back and forth between parties for many more years to come.
