Looking for suggestions for decent and not overpriced gyms in Ipanema, Rio and Buenos Aires. Thanks.

I worked out at this gym in Palermo (Buenos Aires) when I was there for a couple of weeks in 2008. It was kind of small, but it had all the basics, and the weekly rate was pretty cheap.

I rented this apartment, just a few blocks away, at the corner of Cerviño and Bulnes--great location, and the landlords were super nice.

Hi.. if you're still in Buenos Aires, the Well Club in Palermo, near the Plaza Italia (http://www.wellclub.org/) on Arenales is clean and has most of the equipment you'd want, and is clean/modern, though I was charged a daily rate of 70 pesos in April 2011, which is high by BsAs standards. It's gay-friendly, though not as cruisy as the more expensive Megatlon gyms in town (http://www.megatlon.com/).
