Thanks for posting the article! And I am surprised that more people haven't commented; I mean, this is one of the last major legacy carriers to file for Chapter 11, if not the last.
And like you said, the handwriting has been on the wall for years and there is blame to be had on both sides of the aisle from the executives down to the unions. As sad as I am to see this happen, it had to happen sooner or later. As things begin to clear, I see a much brighter future for AA with the new planes on order to replace those awful MD-80's as well as Boeing 777-300ER's to open up new destinations, i.e. MIA-JNB, MIA-NRT, and DFW-ICN.
