I just hope the allegations are all true, only because if they are not, and someone just drubbed it all up to either get their 15 minutes of fame OR bring Cain down, it would be really unfair and unfortunate. I tend to think that where there is smoke there is fire -- one allegation may have ben overlooked --- two gets messy -- but now this? It's clearly time for Cain to step out of the campaign, as this story has just taken on a life of its own and will likely get even worse before it gets better. He would be doing himself and the party a favor by bowing out gracefully so the focus can remain on the issues facing this country and who best to lead. Clearly Cain's campaign is cooked.

I just can't conceive that all of these separate women who have had no affiliation with each other would be able to come up with all of this if there wasn't some truth involved. His campaign is definitely over, despite his charisma.

Why do people even try to run for President if they've done something in the past that could ruin it if it came out. I don't understand it.

If anyone drubbed it up, it was the Romney campaign. Romney has already shown he has no integrity and reached an unprecedented low with his ad targeting Obama. A thorough investigation of any false allegations should be focused squarely on Romney!

Admittedly, this latest allegation with the woman providing proof of text messages is really the final straw. I can't imagine him being so foolish as to keep the campaign going at this point. Then again, if the allegations are true, obviously his ego won't let him think clearly and he must have thought this would never come out.

There's still no proof that he was engaging in actual sex with her, but there was obviously some sort of affinity there at the very least.

He definitely has a woman problem.

Cain should have run in 1992.

But yes, he's done and has been for a long as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, he had charisma among a certain block of GOP voters because of his straightforward talk and at least the appearance of a plan -- whether or not it was the right one needed or not.

His campaign is obviously over, and yet he continues to lie, making up ridiculous excuses about why he texted this woman 60 times in one month.
Why lie when everyone knows you're lying? It just makes you look bad.
He should have -- for once -- manned up and said "my personal life is no one's business."
At least he could have exited the campaign with a shred of dignity, rather than going down the drain spouting these endless transparent lies.

60 times in one month? Guess no one will ever doubt Herman Cain's ability to multi-task icon_biggrin.gif

Cain says homosexuality is a sin....and a choice....but loves adultery and harassing women????

More proof that gays who support these christian republican sex hypocrites have major self-hate issues.

Not so fast. It was Jerry Brown who 'brought us' Whitewater. And David Hale was no Republican as far as I know.

and there were a few others besides Paula Jones, one or two with slightly more serious allegations.
