Ive been living with this disease for 3 yrs now. Started out rough but so much better now. So many lives lost to this disease. Seems like its not taken serious anymore.

Never forget...always forgive...dont give up the fight.

I have many friends in my circle that seem to have contracted HIV and it really bothers me. I mean it's like they didn't think to protect themselves and they knew better. When I went to get tested in Feburary after having barebacked with my ex and was scared I could have caught something, I was told that I was out of weird because I didn't have sex in public places, I used protection, didn't have or take part in orgies, use drugs, and was monogamus and had never had an STD. Weird. Because of my friends and seeing how hard it's been for them, I thought about it. Could I date someone or be in a relationship with someone that is Positive. I could but after seeing he was really worthy of being in it. I have close friends that are in a magnetic relationship. It's tough but like they say if you love someone, you do the right thing and protect each other.

My bf now is negative & is totally loving & accepting. I contracted hiv while in my last relationship,,we supposedly were monogamous, apparently he wasnt, gave me hiv.

So many stories ive heard of guys contracting it while in relationships. It happens more than people realize.

I think men should always wear a condom. So many men swear their relationships are monogamous and they are not. Protect yourself. Be safe.
It is a big deal and will affect the rest of your life, it will end up costing you thousands in additional medical bills, and it's something that can be prevented.icon_idea.gificon_idea.gificon_idea.gif
Best of health Red and thanks for reminding us all the reality of life.icon_cool.gif

So true and so sad. This is why everyone must fight gay or straight HIV/AIDS is something that some people are afraid to talk about but it is something everyone should talk about and fight to cure.
