I'm doing a video project for class and I made this flash intro on Adobe Flash CS5. Exporting as a video file messes up the animation somehow, so I decided to save as SWF and convert to a video file type to add to the rest of my video. Problem: I can't find a program to convert SWF to MOV, MPEG4, AVI, etc etc.. Does anyone know of any free mac programs that I can use to do this?

Or even better, could one of you convert my file for me? I tried google, couldn't find a program for mac that's free. It's late, and I just want this project DONE icon_sad.gif

You'll need to find a utility that does conversions of movie formats called FFMPEG.

I have it set up on my Linux box, and I'm quite sure that there is a Windows port

For Mac, last I checked you had to compile the FFMPEG libraries in a (Darwin?) command line shell; but now there does seem to be a Mac binary for: FFMPEGX.

    Good luck! =)

I've used Vegas Video to convert .FLV, but never tried with .SWF.

I'm pretty sure you won't find any software that will do it for free.

This will do what you need done, and it's free. I tried a lot of free converters before I found this gem.

Thanks guys. I ended up screencasting the animation with Screen Recorder. I can't believe I pulled it off. It's done. Yay!

You likely lost a lot of quality in doing so.
