Would you date a guy who wears makeup?

Let's say you meet a guy and on your first date, you hit it off pretty well only to discover that he has been wearing makeup the whole time. It is not noticeable at first, and there does not seem to be a major reason for him to have it on (scar or major acne). Would you continue to go on another date or would that be an instant turn-off?

I am curious to see what your thoughts are regarding this... Just to clarify, by makeup, I don't mean drag queen status, but more like the powder or liquid stuff you put all over the face.

Meh. It's not a deal breaker but then again it's not a turn on. I don't really know why a guy would wear make up unless he is trying to cover something up anyways.

Come to think of it, I would be really put off by a guy who casually wears make up....icon_neutral.gif

Yeah, when you guys think "man wearing makeup" you think drag queens, but many guys, straight and gay, wear makeup and it's subtle, I wear concealer for my dark circles cuz I look like a fuckin zombie without it, when I don't wear it, everyone asks me if I'm sick icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I went on a date with a guy who showed up at my place wearing guy-liner. He told me that it made him feel more confident when he was out. To each their own, I guess.

It's not my thing, but I know some guys who wouldn't leave home without it.

I met a guy for drinks once after meeting him online. Great looking guy, but his eyebrows were "funny". I asked him if he plucked them and he told me they were laser removed and tattooed on... I busted up laughing... he left lol

If he were in a "Glam" rock band or something, I would kind of understand, but if he parades around the house or around town in it, then no!

Would not date a guy who wore make up. I want a man to be a man.

It wouldn't really bother me. Makeup is just a gender stereotype. Nearly every model or professional image we see of men is with them with makeup on.

No way.. I have a friend who wears makeup.. not too drastic.. and that's fine I guess. But I would never date a guy that wore it. That's the benefit of being a guy.. we don't have to do that + I want a guy to be a GUY.

    hahaha cover up icon_razz.gif
My ex used to do this, don't know how often he wore it only cause he would break out and such. I don't see anything bad with it, but I prefer the natural look over the make up look.

Agreed, tattooed eyebrows look awful on anyone, men or women. Just pluck em, guys. icon_lol.gif

Circumstantial. . . I wear some foundation one days when my acne is bothering me, and wouldn't mind if someone I was dating did the same.

But if we are talking like. . .eye liner, and mascara, or anything like that. . .I wouldn't be so into it.

Meh, maybe. Haven't met anyone who wears it outside of DQ's and not "looking" so it's a mute point. So I'll shut up about it!

I'd rather have 'make-up sex' with the OP!icon_cool.gif
