I suspect their being socially ostracized comes from being thick as two short planks since neither had a clue as to what they were talking about. Sad...

    And they weren't that hot.

These are the same guys that went to a rally holding up signs that said "Support Scott Walker not Union Scum".

I also think the blonde was caught on video at CPAC talking about how he doesn't really like gay people blah blah some other bull shit and how Sarah Palin should be president because she reminds him of his mom (that's some great thinking there).

The other one is actually a cool guy, he just has horrible politics.

It's kind of odd seeing my city on here though o.O

In theory I agree with their idea of dropping marriage altogether and having everyone be in a civil union but it's not going to be reality. Marriage is not going away and therefore the only way to achieve equality is through having gay marriage as well.

So you recognized how ill-informed they were and still posted the video? Are you that hard up to find a gay guy willing to back your ridiculous polemics?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. No, its just so easy to predict all of your negative comments.

These guys aren't ill-informed at all. They've heard both sides. Like most gay conservatives they were shunned by the gay liberal community. Didn't you hear them talk about being in the gay bars? Its much like being on here and taking insults from the liberals.

There are numerous errors in fact in just their basic statements, including that the Constitution provides for contract law but not marriage which lacks historical context.

And the claim that they saw no examples of bigotry at Tea Party rallies means they either never attended one, were temporarily blinded or are just a bunch of liars.

Hahahahahahah. Where do you get your information? I've gone to 3 Tea Party rallies and I've never seen any bigotry.

Hahahahahaha. This is the best you can come up with? There are bad apples in every group. The majority of the Tea Party Protests are peaceful. I'm proud to attend Tea Party rallies.

I could go through youtube and dig up Occupy Videos promoting violence. At least at the Tea Party rallies the police didn't have to make arrests. How many arrests have there been at the Occupy events?

You are, if nothing else, ohhhhh soooooo predictable icon_rolleyes.gif I respect the guys for having an opinion and not being afraid to express it. They made some valid points, and it IS sad that SOME gay liberals become so hateful towards more conservative minded gays who just have a different opinion.

I have no issue with smart, gay conservatives (like yourself). I have a problem ("hate" is a ridiculously strong word) with people who are rabidly misinformed and who speak from a place of complete ignorance as these two do.

One wonders if OWS had been armed whether pepper spray would have been used. BTW, the use of pepper spray on peaceful protests is a human rights violation since it is a chemical weapon.

I could support the tea party especially these two gay members of the tea party. But the serious problem with the tea party is that it was infested with all those xenophobic, homophobic, and racist right wing extremists. That is what caused me to abandon the tea party.

They were stating their opinions, especially on the government getting out of marriage, in favor of civil unions for all and letting private organizations, e.g. churches have marriage ceremonies. I suspect many guys, but not all, on RJ would agree with that idea. Could you give a rational reason why they were full of shit on that one? Not just why you might disagree, but why they are full of shit.

Because the Tea Party is about taxes (i.e. "Taxed Enough Already") and the federal government (e.g. all the Obama hatred) and they are discussing a state matter since the federal government does not control marriage.

They then shift to blaming Clinton for DOMA, which was actually Republican legislation crafted by the very people that the Tea Party supports.

They said referred to "the Government" when discussing gay marriage, not federal Government, so you lose.
