Do any of you guys know of a definitive "How To" in regards to cutting up a t-shirt to show off your obliques?

I've searched the web and am not having much success.
    Not doing it right. Help!

Kind of like this, but obviously looking for a way to do it better.

Cutting up a regular T- shirt to show your obliques doesn't make any sense. Why not wear a tank top T- shirticon_question.gif

Cut it like that (but slowly and carefully, and leaving a little more material) and then have a tailor sew the edges so it'll look good and won't fray.

Or you can do what they used to do, wear a normal shirt, bunch it up in the front oblique high, pull it through and over the front collar and tie it in a knot. Then BAM obliques be blastin icon_razz.gif

LOL. There's really nothing left of that t-shirt. If you want to show off your body and not look like you've survived a tornado, just buy one of these..

Get one size larger, so that it drapes a little lower and shows your obliques.

Thanks. However, I did not ask "Why", I asked "How". I have tank tops, compression shirts, etc. I want something to add to the variety of my wardrobe AND be able to recycle old tshirts.

It's not that easy. There's a trick to making it look "right". I saw a video a couple of years ago and wished I had bookmarked it. Dang.

Thanks for attempting the "How" answer!

Not my style. I've seen guys wearing bras and it's not the look I'm going for.

First, this doesn't work with all t-shirts. It works best on thick 100% cotton shirts. Second, don't cut the sides. Instead, cut the sleeves into large openings. Stop just below your pecs. After you wear/wash the shirt a few times. The sleeve openings will stretch/droop a little more.

I wish 24 Hour Fitness would permit this.

Honestly, I have one that I was really happy with and I've used it as a template ever since. I have a lot of college shirts from fraternity and campus things and have turned every one of them into muscle shirts. Once you're happy with one- save it!!!

There are a couple guys at Defined Fitness who wear a shirt which, on both the front and back, has only a strip of cloth perhaps 6" wide. I couldn't wear something like that because it would expose a couple very large benign lumps on my back.

Too bad he does commercials for Focus on the Family. Negates attractiveness in my world.

    Set opinion = on

Actually, AZ, the way Tebow has the shirt cut makes him look even douchier than we all know he is. The shirt is cut way to deep on the sides. Nips showing is too much. The overall concept is "right", but not the look I'm going for. Too much of a "good thing".

I'm looking for the side holes to cut no deeper than just above the waist.
