...Industry groups such as the American Bankers Association and the Student Loan Servicing Alliance have thrown their weight behind the Mobile Informational Call Act of 2011, a bill sponsored by Rep. Lee Terry (R-Neb.) that would lift the ban on robo-calls to cell phones. Such groups have been trying to do this for years, but these efforts have taken on a new urgency now that cell phones are starting to replace landlines.

wouldn't it be nice if a cell ROBO call got through you could have your carrier reverse the charges.

Automatically many ROBO calls are exempted , such as anything Police oriented such as the PBA groups that give 10 cents on the dollar to actual police . Those are allowed to go through even DO NOT CALL listed people.

I say let it go through but have a way to reverse the charges.

Since we know that our Congress is annually bought and paid for by lobbyists, we can assume that the bill will pass.

Kinda hard not to, since the corporate chiefs at GOP Inc. are in charge of the constitution raping.
