First laser treatment

Had my very first session with laser hair removal. Did my chest + back + neck (back only). Some parts hurt significantly, but mostly it was quite bearable. Wanted to do my face, but my stubble was to long/thick; so, it hurt too much.

My next session is in 6 wks, and I'll try to do the entire body. I actually thought that there wouldn't be any hair left in the treated areas, but the technician said that the treated hair will eventually fall out. Plus, some follicles in the resting phase will not be treated by the laser.

I'm so incredibly excited; can't imagine life without unwanted hair. It sucks that I have to wait for 3-4 sessions more (with 6 wks in between sessions) to see good results.

Chargin' a lazer at your face definitely sounds safe.

When you have a 5 o'clock shadow 5 minutes after saving, you kind of risk the 'charged laser'. I don't want to look like a woman, but I also don't want to look like the Sasquatch.

Good for you - and glad you are sharing what you are learning about the proceedure here on RJ. Like you, i'm a 5 minute after shaving shadow guy, and have thought about getting something done for years. This definitely helps! Keep posting!

I don't blame you. I have a friend with a uni-brow that can be used as land bridge from America to India that could use this sort of treatment.

Let me know if you have any questions I've done TONS of laser. Body hair is a major turn off for me, smooth guys are super hot. There's lots to learn about laser hair removal as there's many types of lasers and a lot of clinics are sort of scams.

Do you know what laser was used on you? I've treated probably everywhere, just did a session on my face this morning actually. It's great I never have to shave my face ever icon_smile.gif

You won't notice a difference after 1 treatment, the laser targets the follicle and converts the light energy into heat which kills the root. It takes about 2 weeks for all the hair to fall out, then by week 6-8 it will all be back but it's new growth as hair grows in cycles. That's why it takes several treatments. Each treatment will result in less and less hair.

i'm getting my face and neck done mainly because I HATE shaving, the job i have it is more professional to have no facial hair, and my facial hair is SUPER thick and causes me razor burn like a bitch.

just gonna get rid of it with a few treatments and be happy that I no longer have to shave and deal with the annoyance of it. icon_smile.gif good for you!

I had it done on my chest mostly. Got rid of a lot of hair but just know your hair loss may be patchy.

Hmmmm. I've never heard of guys permanently removing their facial hair. I think that would look really prepubescent and that would freak me out. To each is own, I guess.

I had laser treatment a few years ago.
But my laser treatment was to fix my nearsightedness. I don't have to wear contacts or glasses anymore (I guess unless I want to be hipster).

I had my eyes done before that Final Destination movie came out. It probably would have freaked me out.

NICE.. I hate back hair.. I stopped dating a guy cuz I didn't realized he had it until we had sex and he was on top of me and I move my hands up on him and I felt lots of back hair and I got turned off instantly.. Bleh..
