I have to buy a gift ($20 limit) for a male co-worker (married with teenage kids) and I don't have a clue about what to get him. He was talking about how he likes giving gift cards to people, but he doesn't like getting them. He's in his mid 40s (I think). Please give suggestions as to what will make a nice gift. Thanks!

Go to a good liquor store or a Whole Foods and get him a 6-pack of unique micro brews.
I know Whole Foods allows you to mix 6-packs so you can getva cool mix of beers
It's unique, interesting and most guys like beer.

book, good desk calendar, Cross pen

One of the best gifts I ever got was one of those buckwheat pillows shaped like a crescent that you warm in the microwave and put around your neck to settle sore muscles. The thing is great!

Many times, those office gifts seem like they are gag gifts. What about joke underwear or designer underwear. Give him men's lace underwear and you will have your entire office talking....lol

If there is an Urban Outfitters near you, they have a good variety of gift type stuff for around the $20 mark - coffee mugs, beer glasses, picture frames, etc.

How about a gift bottle of Chambord? Not exactly $20, but close enough.

I would go with this idea (something I would love to receive someday). Whole Foods has some really good brews too.

Find out if he likes to drink and if so, what he likes to drink. I've received the microbrew 6 pack mix from Whole Foods and I got 5 shitty bears and one good one. The best gifts I've received have been a bottle of my favorite liquor - Southern Comfort, a 4 pack of Guinness, and any Dallas Cowboy related gift. Another gift that stuck with me was a coworker remembered I was going to a bowl game that my alma matter was playing in and got me a t-shirt for that game to wear during that game. It was awesome. I also received a flask of my favorite football team. I've even received a gift bag of my favorite snacks that people saw me eating around the office. The gifts I received were from guy and girl gifters.

I'd probably get him a Cross pen. Safe and not offensive to anyone. I'm so boring! icon_confused.gif

Find out what he likes. Talk to him. See if he has a favorite team or a favorite player. We do the same thing at my office. I always listen to what they like. One of my buddies really liked Kenneth Cole. I mean had everything that man ever made. So bought him a Chain that 4 inter-changeable charms on it. He loved it. Oh yeah, go to places like, Marshalls, Burlingtons, and TJ Maxx to get your presents
