Who's The Top? Who's The Bottom?

Why? Why is it that two guys getting together implies anal is going to happen?

Same sex attraction = state of being.

Anal = action, independent of orientation (guys can have anal with girls too).

So why are these things treated as being mutually inclusive by the vast majority when, clearly, they are not?

It's so ridiculously pervasive and equally annoying to see people draw the line, "You like guys? So what are you, the top or the bottom?" Yes, I could just punch these people in the face and move on with my life(haha) but I think getting to the root of the conception would be more satisfying.

... Because the vast majority of gay men engage in anal sex... Is this a real question?

I agree though, it is annoying how much it comes into play especially when you're say trying to date online. But at the same time I know many guys who only like to bottom and don't like to top and many who only like to top and don't like to bottom. If that isn't something negotiable for you it is better to get it out of the way sooner rather than later so you don't wast eachother's time.

When a real top hooks up with a vers/top, vers, vers/bot, or bot, he's going to expect anal sex. That's just the way it is.

its this. I have been on dates where after the third it gets to be a "Oh, your a bottom too?" kind of thing and it just, well, kind of ruins it...

exactly, especially if you want monogamy in your relationship. I've known a couple who were both tops, but they had an open relationship and would pick up guys and tag team them...that is just not something I'd ever want in a relationship. You can't have a healthy sex life if you can't both have the sex you want at the same time.
