I think that he is extremely talented and very sexy but i feel like this dude is undderated when it comes to this industry and him as an actor. He started out in Disney on the popular Even Stevens to now being in the Transformer films so i have taken notice to his transcendence of trying to be a serious actor. To me he is like a modern day Robert Redford who was known for his good looks but could prove himself as a very talented actor as well. So my question is if you fellas think that Shia is undderated as an actor and person? icon_razz.gif

I don't think he's underrated, as he's still quite young and he's proven himself to be a good actor (so far).

    And he's hawt! icon_razz.gif

Did I miss a movie that shows his acting abilities beyond running and screaming?

I have always had the suspicion that if I were a white version of my physical self/looks, I'd look like Shia. Just an inkling *shrug*

He looks cute-hot when he has the face/body hair neat and trim/removed. I'd hit it.

The second paragraph is in no way related to the first.

    That is all.

(^Except it isn't: I think he can/has the potential to act his arse off too, a la A Guide to Recognising Your Saints- Kudos)

I think part of the problem is that Shia can be a problem child at times and a bit of a punk. His success has gone to his head somewhat, and he has gotten himself into trouble, shown up late on set, and is known to be difficult. This can have an effect on a career because those who have the ability to hire you might choose someone else. He made a comment in an interview that the movies he has been in that were box-office successes would have likely still have been hits with any actor. That being true, he hasn't really been as much of a draw for the movies he has been in as the movies themselves. He 'd be smart to do a more independent-type film like say a "500 Days of Summer" rather than a big-budget action flick to show a different side of him and get a chance to really show his acting skills.
