I'll be attending the GreenBuild Expo in Boston later this year in November, but have to reserve a hotel room now. It has been nearly 10 years since I last visited Boston, and frankly, I need some suggestions as where we should stay.

Preferably, I'd like to stay in one of the 13 hotels the expo has secured reduced rates with and they are:

    1. Boston Omni Parker House Hotel
    2. Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers
    3. Boston Renaissance Waterfront Hotel
    4. Doubletree Hotel - Boston Downtown
    5. Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel
    6. Hilton Boston Back Bay
    7. Hilton Boston Logan Airport
    8. Hyatt Regency Boston Downtown
    9. Lenox
    10. Seaport Hotel
    11. Sheraton Boston Hotel
    12. Westin, Copley Place Boston
    13. Westin Boston Waterfront

The Expo is at the Boston Convention Center, but since my partner will be joining me later in the week, we'd rather be closer to the gayborhood.

    Thoughts???

I'm a relative newby to Boston, but if you want to stay near the "gayborhood", which I am assuming you would want to stay in the South End...it's the closest we have to one of those...

I work downtown, and the Convention Center is out in South Boston, so if you're going to be close to the convention, I'd go with 3, 10 or 13. If you want to be near the Back Bay, which is right near the South End, then go with 1, 2, 5, 6, 9, or 12. I'm not sure where 4, 8, or 11 are, and you just don't want to be over at the airport.

Let me know when you come in. Maybe some other RJers might want to meet you too.

Matt's right with these. #11 is next to the Prudential in the Back Bay/South End area. Don't bother with staying at hotels near the convention center. It's a new neighborhood without a lot going on other than the ICA and one restaurant. Public transportation back and forth to the convention center from the rest of the city is quick and far better than staying out there.

I've stayed at the Westin-Copley. Nice place, easy to get to/from places.
