Stay Uncut or Get Circumcised?

After discovering that I had a tight foreskin (phimosis), my doctor gave me three choices. First, use steroidal cream combined with stretching techniques. Second, correct the tightness with surgery. And Thirdly, to get circumcised.

Not having enough time with school and work, plus my living situation at college. I decided that stretching was probably not my best choice, plus it could take up to 3 months to see results...that's if the stretching works.

So now I'm conflicted as to whether I should have the surgery just to correct the tightness, so that the skin can retract smoothly over the gland OR to get just get circumcised.

I'd like to know whether you are cut or uncut and what you would do in my situation. No need for technical/medical stuff, I'm just interested in your opinion. And if you got circumcised as an adult, I'd like to hear all about it (you can just message me if that's more private).

Ouch. Whatever you do, I would not recommend getting circumcised. You will have much less pleasurable sensation on the head of the penis than if you weren't circumcised.. There has been tons written about this.

Speaking from experience, don't get circumcised.

From what I've been told , getting circumcised is more painful when you're an adult. I would think that surgery to correct the tightness would be the better option.

Just out of curiousity; no one taught you to retract your foreskin in the bath?

I'm circumcised, but in your case I would start with the least invasive method and go with the cream and stretching.

Yes, get circumcised. Decreases your risk of getting HIV (if you're active like that) and I'm inclined to believe that it lessons the risk of infections and diseases overall.

Cut the crap (I didn't mean literally). You can stretch your foreskin while sitting in class.

You're going to spend money on a surgery that's going to reduce the pleasure you get from sex? Why?

Look...do this, get the cream (or any lube will help) and put it on. Sit in a bathtub for 10 minutes a day for awhile and your problem will be healed.

Phimosis can be fixed. I dealt with it up til I was about 14, thinking that it was normal. then I met a guy who showed me how to do it. Sure it can be uncomfortable and painful at first, but eventually you'll never have to do it again.

Just think...all the cheese that's up under there that hasn't been cleaned in years. not very appealing.

Believe it or not...that actually helps. You have pain mixed with pleasure which makes it easier.

My logic suggests trying the 'just to correct tightness' option.

Agree. And I wonder if surgery wouldn't also be disrupting to class and work. Gotta take time off to do it, then be bandaged for a while, and endure soreness for a time afterwards. Would insurance cover this for an adult, if considered cosmetic, in the absence of any infection or functional disability?

Speak to another doctor and research on what you can do to improve the odds of success with the stretching route.

    Otherwise, seek out corrective surgery.

I think I'm just going to correct the tightness with surgery (5 minute procedure), is quick, no cream, no waiting 3 months to see results...and I get to stay uncut.

    Get it cut.
Of course it will be painful, it's surgery after all. But all pain eventually goes away.

First of all, everything that comes out of SouthBitch's mouth is a lie. Secondly, get the circumcision. Your dick won't look like a wrinkly elephant's trunk anymore and you'll never have to worry about cleaning that nasty head cheese out of there, and no more smelling like a rotten egg down there. icon_lol.gif But seriously, all this talk about decreased sensation is a load of crap. I'm cut and if I were anymore sensitive my head would explode. But hell, even if that were true, I'd still rather be cut than deal with all that bacteria growing up in there. icon_neutral.gif
