I'm out to all my friends but none of them are gay. I had this feeling one of my friend is gay but turns out he's not. All my friends are nice and fun to be around, but I wished I had a friend. There are just some things I can't talk to my straight friends about. But its so hard to find gay friends.

So how do I make gay friends?

You're in Toronto, the gay capital of Canada, so it shouldn't be hard to find gay friends.

Get out more, you'll eventually run into someone gay.

Another way is to start chatting to a few gay guys online. Once you meet a few, it's easy to start meeting more from there.

I know how that feels, even on grindr no body would care about chatting much, they would aim for "your place or my place, or should we take a hotel?".

And it's funny how most of the guys there have their shades on, is that a common trend to have shades on and look cool in your profile picture?

I tried the online thing, but like tyklong says its seems only for hook ups. Even on RJ I msg guys saying i'm just looking for friends or someone to chat, and no one replies back.

You might have more luck if you used some photo's besides the headless underwear ones, because they don't necessarily say 'I'm just looking for friends'

Was thinking the same thing. I was like "Are you gonna do that Marky Mark thing you're doing when we're out for coffee? B/C that would be awkward."

But regarding the online thing, I do not have any suggestive pictures and I have the same problem. I have reached out to a some local guys on here and very few even respond.

I tired without the underwear photos before and it didn't work either. I just had headshot pics and no one replied, just as njmeanwhile says.

This isn't Japan, where you can rent grandparents for the day. You don't find friends - friendship (thus friends) develop over time, gay or straight. To meet potential friends (who might develop into actual friends), you generally have to actually meet them in person rather than online, which means being in locations/situations where they will be. Then you have to spend the time with them and show interest in them as your relationship develops. It's not rocket science.
