I strongly disagree. If Spanish-speakers want a Spanish-language "RealJock," they should start one of their own. I am sure there is someone in all of global Hispania that can do it.

Otherwise, this is a great way for Spanish-speakers to learn and practice their English.

lol... another one of those "you're in america, learn english" guys.

WAKE UP. businesses don't care what language you speak, they want your money. I for one think this is a great opportunity for realjock, i'm sure that their revenue would increase dramatically given the fact that they don't really have to create a new site, just translate this one and have a team of people to manage it so expenses wouldn't be as great as starting from scratch. and in case you didn't understand my first post.. i mentioned the fact that hispanic people in the U.S. alone will command about $1 trillion in spending power by 2010.

soo... realjock guys.. i'll be graduating with a BBA - international business and marketing in december of 09! would be a cool venture icon_biggrin.gif *wink wink*

spanish speakers aren't in america? or spanish speaking real jock members? i know there are spanish speaking americans here on realjock... i'm one of them.

regardless... there are plenty of spanish speaking people in the US and abroad and is quite a big market. there's opportunity there. if someone wants to practice their english, it would be easy to switch to the english realjock but for someone who is not interested why not have a spanish realjock?

making money in business is about giving people what they want not what you think they should want

The OP is in Argentina. He specifically referred to members in Spanish-speaking countries. And I was referring to him and those HE mentioned.

If you are referring to those in the US, then I do think they should learn English. I agree that necessary services in the public sector be provided in Spanish. But I dont think one is doing Spanish-speaking people a favor by not encouraging a rapid and fluent acquisition of English. The fast track to a better life in America is by learning English.

Your introduction of business and financial considerations for a Spanish-language version of RJ came AFTER I posted my response. I dont think it is fair for you to castigate me ex post facto. I shouldnt be expected to have addressed issues that were not in the OP and not mentioned before my posting.

I say you are a bit quick on the hair trigger. Your point of view and current interest is framed by your current studies. That is fine. But you may want to add to the discussion without the initial reflexive slap.

HEY! I speak english very well, I dont need enjoy this site to practice "your" language. My idea is open this site to other people, who can´t speak english very well, but a few years ago, i heard this: "one click is a penny in internet", so, RJ webmasters can think to start an option to change the language in this site. THANX

I think it's a great idea and I think it would breach a few walls. I have a friend who is in Spain and his english isn't all that great but I can understand him barely so I figured I'd learn spanish to make things a little easier for both of us.

It's an added bonus and everyone wins I think. The idea of there being another site for other langueages is great and I think those who persued it and weren't so stuck in their own little world thinking they are always right would learn something and benefit from it as well.

Other sites make it to were you can switch the languages making the communication gap shrink. Why not here?

I think someone might wanna reread their own comment. They might learn why some people get aggitated and why unpleasant words get thrown around.

You ask for responses and then you reply with:
    'HEY!'
    '"your" language'

And your original posting said nothing about the business side of RJ.

If you are going to solicit responses, I really think you need to answer to those responses politely, whether you agree with them or not. Otherwise, maybe you should state "positive responses only, por favor"

It is just plain rude for you to post a discussion and then get all bent out of shape when someone says something you dont agree with.

    Wie unverschaemt!

Wir benötigen eine Deutsche RJ Web site für Leute, die nicht Deutsches gut sprechen können.

Hey I'm from Sweden, can we make a Swedish RJ? More specifically I'm from Gothenburg. Actually I live on Fräntorp's street, can we make a Fräntorpsstreetian RJ?

I mean it would be completely separated from RJ and have no connection to the original site whatsoever, but it's important not only tolerate but forcibly integrate all kind of customs because if you don’t, you’re a racist. You know who else was a racist? Hitler. Yeah that’s right. You're not like Hitler are you?
