In another topic, propaganda pouncer - whose main source is PressTV, controlled by the Iranian regime - claimed that the attack was carried out by a bunch of "students":

musclemed> What do you have to say about the Iranian's overrunning the British Embassy?

pp> Hardly matters what I have to say. What matters is what the Iranian foreign ministry had to say: "The foreign ministry regrets the protests that led to some unacceptable behaviour ... We respect and we are committed to international regulations on the immunity and safety of diplomats and diplomatic places."

As if it is news that propaganda pouncer is an oracle for the Iranian foreign ministry?

Propaganda pouncer goes on to argue that the "Iranian police are currently protecting the building, having already removed the students and dispersed the crowds outside." And then recounts every attack ever on an Iranian embassy:

pp> Contrast this incident to the destruction of the Iranian embassy in London in 1980, when 26 Iranians were taken hostage and 2 of them killed. Why wasn't Britain "protecting" the embassy...?

The embassy was taken over by heavily armed Iranian terrorists. (Quite different from "students"!)
At least one British police officer who was protecting (not "'protecting'") the embassy was taken hostage, too.

But let's get back to the main point:

Musclmed> Iran has no business in the International community. This incursion into the Embassy was government sanctioned.

Despite propaganda pouncer's predictable prevarications that the regime was innocent of anything and everything, pretending the police couldn't protect the embassy, here we find out why:
Photos and reports from the scene showed that among those who ransacked the embassy, throwing stones and petrol bombs as they went, were members of the Basij militia, which often provides "a little bit of muscle" for the Iranian regime."

The attackers weren't unruly "students" but the government's goon squad.
No wonder the police didn't interfere.

Ah, but wait. Previously propaganda pouncer has argued that the BBC is not reliable since it receives money from the government - as does NPR (as if that makes his beloved "PressTV" a better source). So let's get another opinion:

UK embassy attack orchestrated by Iranian authorities
The sources added that two official channels broadcast the storming of the embassy live. The channels were Press T.V. and al-Alam News Network, both directly controlled by Khamenei.

According to the sources, no official channel is allowed to broadcast anything live without obtaining Khamenei’s permission. Live broadcasting usually takes place during national celebrations and Friday sermons, as well as sporting events.

It would not be possible, the sources said, to find cameras to cover protests that erupt unexpectedly or attacks on embassies, which have included the British, the Bahraini, and the Saudi embassies.

Pretty astounding: pp claims to be British and his nation's embassy in Teheran is attacked... yet he sides not with Britian but the Iranian regime...?!

Does anyone else smell a rat?

musclemed> The question to a biased person like [propaganda pouncer] would be what would IRAN have to do to get your disapproval?

    propaganda pouncer> [defeaning silence]

TigerTim saidWell duh. Pretty stupid move on their part though!

Right. Seems the Iranian regime bit off more than it can chew.
Which explains why its agents and "useful idiots" are trying to do damage control.
As if the British (as well as French, Germans, Italians - and the UN Security Council) are over-reacting.
See the last two paragraphs of this article:

Iran embassy attack had government backing, says ambassador
Dominick Chilcott, Britain's ambassador to Iran, has said he believed that attack on the embassy appeared well organised and had the back of the government, as he spoke for the first time of the ordeal

His comments came as Iran's diplomats left Britain following their expulsion over Tuesday's attacks, which also prompted Britain to close its embassy in Tehran.

"Iran is not the sort of country where spontaneously a demonstration congregates then attacks a foreign embassy," Mr Chilcott told Sky News.

"That sort of activity is only done with the acquiescence and support of the state."

William Hague, Foreign Secretary, said on Wednesday that the slow response of Iran's security forces to quell the protests meant they must have had "some degree of regime consent".

He spoke of the ordeal of his staff when protesters stormed the embassy and a diplomatic compound in Tehran, and accused the regime of complicity.

...Mr Chilcott said he did not expect normal relations to resume any time soon, warning that some elements within the Iranian regime were bent on stoking up tensions for their own political gain.

He named Iranian MP Aladdin Brujerdi, chairman of the Iranian parliamentary national security and foreign policy commission, and parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani.

"At the end of the day if the state decides that you're fair game there's no protection on Earth that you can provide yourself," he said.

Mr Chilcott said however that some of those seeking confrontation may have misjudged the response to the attacks.

"They probably didn't expect us to send home the Iranian embassy in London and, reading between the lines, you can see in the way they have responded to that move, some remorse in having provoked it," he said.

Does propaganda pouncer stay up all night in his mom's basement searching the internet for such bunk or is it fed to him by the Iranian foreign ministry?!

Pouncer saidThis isn't what the warmongering anti-Iran hawks wanted...

Iran's Jews reject cash offer to move to Israel
    · Expats offer families £30,000 to emigrate
    · Our identity is not for sale, say community leaders
The following correction was printed in the Guardian's Corrections and clarifications column, Saturday July 28 2007

In the article below we reported that last year President Ahmadinejad said (quoting the late Ayatollah Khomeini) that Israel should be "wiped off the map". A more literal translation of the statement he made in 2005, at The World without Zionism conference in Tehran, is "the regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time".

Iran's Jews have given the country a loyalty pledge in the face of cash offers aimed at encouraging them to move to Israel, the arch-enemy of its Islamic rulers.

The incentives — ranging from £5,000 a person to £30,000 for families — were offered from a special fund established by wealthy expatriate Jews in an effort to prompt a mass migration to Israel from among Iran's 25,000-strong Jewish community. The offers were made with Israel's official blessing and were additional to the usual state packages it provides to Jews emigrating from the diaspora.

However, the Society of Iranian Jews dismissed them as "immature political enticements" and said their national identity was not for sale.

"The identity of Iranian Jews is not tradeable for any amount of money," the society said in a statement. "Iranian Jews are among the most ancient Iranians. Iran's Jews love their Iranian identity and their culture, so threats and this immature political enticement will not achieve their aim of wiping out the identity of Iranian Jews."

The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv reported that the incentives had been doubled after earlier offers of £2,500 a head failed to attract any Iranian Jews to leave for Israel.

Iran's sole Jewish MP, Morris Motamed, said the offers were insulting and put the country's Jews under pressure to prove their loyalty.

"It suggests the Iranian Jew can be encouraged to emigrate by money," he said. "Iran's Jews have always been free to emigrate and three-quarters of them did so after the revolution but 70% of those went to America, not Israel."

Iran's Jewish population has dwindled from around 80,000 at the time of the 1979 Islamic revolution but remains the largest of any country in the Middle East apart from Israel. Jews have lived in Iran since at least 700BC.

Hostility between Iran's Islamic government and Israel means Iranian Jews are often subject to official mistrust and scrutiny. In 2000 10 Jews in the southern city of Shiraz were jailed for spying for Israel, which Iran refuses to recognise.

A Jewish businessman, Ruhollah Kadkhodah-Zadeh, was hanged in 1998, apparently for allegedly helping Jews to emigrate.

Jews generally avoid political controversy, but Mr Motamed wrote a letter of protest to Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, last year after he called the Holocaust "a myth". Mr Ahmadinejad had earlier said that Israel should be "wiped off the map".

Jews are free to practise their religion and have their own schools, although they are forced to open on Saturdays, the Jewish sabbath.

Despite the absence of diplomatic ties with Israel, Iranian Jews frequently go there to visit relatives.

Hmmm. Apparently they doubled the offer as well?

Interesting... Iranian Jews are our best friend now. lol

Well this true story about Iranian Jews sure doesn't fit with LIL'AIPAC's (C4) Zionist and the American AIPAC's story of Iranian hate for Jews. Just another example of how made up their story is against Iran. LIL'AIPAC will be back soon with his Zionist Propaganda, lets see how he spins this one and how he spins the true transaletion of what was said about the current Israeli Far Right Leadership ? These Liars for the cause are dangerous in their efforts to push the US into yet another war.
