This ad is yet another symptom of the real underlying problem of the far rights influence on the entire republican party, note that this ad was all about creating a connection with the evangelical christian voters crowd. Perry did this because it fits with the direction of the party or he wouldn't have pandered to the religious crowd in such a way.
The behind the scenes influence popps up too with all the other candidates trying to 'outsupport' each other on the subject of Israel, all because of the Evangelical voters and the AIPAC money for their political expences,
Whether its the subject of gays in the military, gay marriage, backing Israel, cutting food stamps, cutting support for public schools, cutting support for green technology and denying human activity is changing our environment, you can look to the religious far right as the basis for such backward beliefs and political stances.
All of the republican candidates are swinging their way, and we vote republican to our own demise. Ron Paul alone stands away from this crowd and he doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of becoming the republican nominee. Putting any of the rest of these embarassing idiots in the White House will bring us the same religious dominated outcomes as the likes of this Perry ad. Does anyone really think that Romney or Gingrich would veto anti gay legislation put forward by these idiots? The only difference is that Perry had the balls to say it, the others only say it or go along in a less public way for the religious vote.
