A slight case of nausea at the gym

Yesterday, I was at the gym and I was almost at the end my workout (just had to finish my abs and do some cardio) when suddenly I was feeling nauseous, as if I was gonna throw up at any moment. I tried to continue but my gut thought otherwise. So I just went and hit the showers before my stomach decided to let out something horrible on the gym floor.

Anyone knows what it could have been? May it be the couple of sandwiches I ate half an hour before gym? Or maybe I over trained?

Please enlighten this puppy!

NICE one Sedative, HAHAHAHA!!

Muttskins; could be that your body just took in too much Oxygen all at once, happens from time to time. As for the sandwich I know I cannot eat more than a piece a fruit before weight training or I'll yak in a quick minute!

I get sick at the gym more often than I used to. I get spacy and sick to my stomach - especially after cardio. I recently made it a point to eat a little something before my workout. Sometimes its a light muscle shake or a protein cookie. It gives me the energy I need for my workout and settles my stomach. I always eat following a workout, even if its just a ostrich stick.

Its really important not to workout on an empty stomach. You will burn it off. trust me.

I know, I'm terribly late!

it happens to me occasionally.

I eat a minimum an hour before going to the gym and I eat something carby, like fruit.

But I've found that drinking to much water does it, not giving my self enough time after eating and having a protein shake before going too, that ones the worst.

Yikes, that sounds uncomfortable Mutt, mind if I call you Mutt?

I wouldn't recommend a sandwich before training. Especially if training at a moderate to intense level. Years ago in high school I made the same mistake by eating 2 sandwiches for lunch followed by a super intense leg workout. I had to run to the bathroom to worship the porcelain bowl. It really ruined my workout, never had any type of dense food again before training.

For a pre-workout meal I recommend a carb source like dextrose mixed with some protein powder and L-glutamine. This is light, it digests quickly and I've never had a problem with it.

That happens to me at least once a week at the gym, but it's not what I ate or drank-It's more like what I see!!!
