The following are situation that logic is often unused, when it is needed most. Please understand that Failing to use logic in any giving situation, Is natural and a tenancy among people in todays world.

By creating this thread I am hoping to open your mind
to the use of logic in simple situations,
or that of life threatening results.

Situation one: A ship is sinking, there are no Noticable Flotation devices. There are only two crew mates Bob and jack. Jack and bob are beging to over exagerate emotional stress. Out situation begins:

Bob " Jack we are sinking, there are no life boats!"

Jack " We are going to die."

Logic: It is logical to remain calm, By panicing you have distracted your self from any means of escape or help the cant be seen by a first glance.

Bob "There are no life boats, Jack what do we do?"

Jack " Then there is no way of, we are going to die."

Logic: There may be no life boats, but there could be life jackes. There is also the chance that Inaminate Objects may be used as flotation devices. Remaining calm will alow you to see the situation clearly.

This is One of many situations simple logic can be used, but more ofter then nought is discarded for fear and panic.

Situation two: Jack Alice is using deirogitory terms towards Sarah in a violent manner, Based on an action Sarah performed at a party under the influance of alchol. She asked to kiss Alices boyfriend and He engaged.

Alice " You bitch I can not belive You hit on my boyfriend! you whore!"

Sarah "How the fuck was I to know, I was drunk!"

Logic: As Alice, If you are confronted with a problem such as this, It is better to go to your boyfriend. He engaged, this making the situation Partly his fult, and partly Sarahs. We must also factor in alchol, It has massive effects on the way people behave and can cause situation that would normaly happen if not involved. If he Becomes defensive, It is better to Forgive him and move on. A person like that is undisirable, If he feals sorrow, then You should forgive him if he has no record of this behavior.
After You have forgivin him, it is your choice to stay or leave the relationship, but let it not be on foul terms.
When you confront Sarah, Instead of attacking her verbaly. It would be wiser to Speak softly to see if she feals any remorse for her actions, or is proud of her self. If she becomes rude, then defuse the situation and move on, you have no personal gain from violence or argument.
If she feals sorrow, forgive her, Becoming mad, or Acusing her will have no gain for you. You must show understanding as well as your own personal ground.

As sarah If approched By alice, It is best not to engage, try to apologise, and make amends, Tell her that you understand your own personal fult and she may calm down. If she continues, It is time to say your sorrys and move out, Anything after that can be considers assult or harrasment. Sorry defuses the situation so healing may begin.
If she doesent know, It best to tell her and apologise, If left unchecked it may come back larger than you have pre-consived.

These are two examples of logic you can use in your every day life, In any situation. This example shows
how logic can be used in any situation.
But being human You should always trust your instincts tied in with logic. Your emotions can be a defence if used properly. But uncontrolled can make situations worse.

this has been Logic for Humans by Spock. Please excuse any spelling/grammar errors, I have tried my best, at 3:34 am.
Thank you, I will love to hear your comments.

Lenne, these are interesting concepts and I applaud you for the presentation. Yes, you were clearly tired.

Logic is drawing a conclusion based on as many facts as are available. You have imposed reasoning and maybe even some ethics into the examples which somewhat cloud the logic strand.

Logic: It is logical to remain calm, By panicing you have distracted your self from any means of escape or help the cant be seen by a first glance.

It is not logical to remain calm, it is preferable. It makes sense to stay calm, because it allows a logical decision to be made more efficiently, quickly, or in some cases, at all. Lack of calm doesn't prevent logic from being utilized.

With the Jack, Alice and Sarah situation, logic may provide a solution, but given that more of the variables in the situation itself are based on emotional responses, cultural norms, chemical influences and sexuality, (which are entirely or almost entirely devoid of logic) the best solution to a situation like this may frequently be totally diametric to the most logical solution.

Additionally, logic can provide a false result (though logically correct) when there are missing facts from the equation.

Logic is an extraordinarily useful tool, but it is only one tool in the box.

For the first situation, floatation devices are the best solution. However, a lot of people do not realize that there are many things on board that can be used. Long pants make excellent floatation devices, especially if they're made of cotten. I rarely wear long pants on a boat but my BC is a great floatation device, saved my butt a few times.

The second situation, I'd just not bring it up in conversation. I would just forgive them on the spot.
I'm a flirt, if my BF engages a flirt I'd just laugh and enjoy the spectacle.
