Andrew Breitbart Quits GOProud Over Outing of Perry Adviser

Ummm ... I guess Breitbart has some trouble with two things
One is hypocrisy and the other is the truth

Conservative website mogul Andrew Breitbart has quit the advisory board for GOProud, saying he has a "zero tolerance" policy for outing people.
GOProud's Jimmy LaSalvia and Chris Barron reacted to an antigay Rick Perry television ad
"I've just about had it with faggots who line their pockets with checks from antigay homophobes while throwing the rest of us under the bus," LaSalvia wrote.

He´s just worried that more of his conservative business associates and political allies are going to be next.

Breitbart, isn't he the yellow-journalist? And I use the term journalist loosely here.

This is just more proof that GOProud is window dressing for the homophobes in the Republican Party.

I agree with Andrew Breitbart regarding the principle of "outing" -- I just think it's wrong. That said, if someone who is a closeted gay is also out slamming gays and actively working to hurt them then they can't really blame anyone for outing their hypocrisy. In the case of Tony Fabrizio, who works for the Perry campaign, all indications are that he was not closeted at all. In fact, he wasn't even happy with the Perry ad himself either. GOProud's Jimmy LaSalvia stating that "I've just about had it with faggots who line their pockets with checks from antigay homophobes while throwing the rest of us under the bus" was simply an unfair statement regarding Tony Fabrizio, since he personally was not throwing anyone under the bus, nor did he endorse the ad.

I'm disappointed GoProud would do that. Breitbart has the right to quit after something he feels inappropriate has been done. He didn't leave because GoProud has gay members or he never would have joined to begin with.

Glad to see gay conservatives throw each other under the bus for a change instead of the rest of the gay community!

Both Breitbart and LaSalvia are hypocrites to the highest degree. GOProud is nothing but a failed experiment.

I'm curious if other people thought outing the Perry pollster was justified?

You work for a campaign and that campaign does a big Fuck YOU to a gruop you are a part of
You NEED to be called out on it
Mr Fabrizio isn't a closeted man ..... what GoProud did was call him on his hypocrisy
so your vapors on outing people isn't really the case here

and GoProud isn't blameless here either because they say that they are against discrimination against homosexuals but they back the very same people who discriminate against us

Even though Fabrizio says he was against the ad from its initial planning stages, he obviously didn’t care enough to quit Perry’s virulently anti-gay campaign. And when asked to elaborate on his part in the ad’s creation, Fabrizio answered that he would not reward anybody by “answering personal attacks.”
So… Fabrizio, a gay strategist who works for pro- and anti-LGBT causes, has pissed off LaSalvia, a self-reportedly pro-gay conservative who supports anti-LGBT candidates

GOProud claims and others have confirmed that the pollster wasn't closeted and that his sexuality was well-known.

Oh yes! I just chuckle as their dramas unfold. I hope they start going at each others throats next. Would make for great entertainment.

    A) It wasn't Mr. Fabrizio's campaign, it was Rick Perry's.

    B) The Perry campaign was not stating a sentiment in the ad that Mr. Fabrizio agreed with, and he has stated as such.

What was Mr. Fabrizio suppose to do to stop the ad? I have a friend who sells Chevrolets but drives a Ford -- should Chevy fire him?

Yeah, kinda difficult to out a guy who's already out. Just a phony issue and a Breitbart tactic. This is one of the most dishonest & ruthless guys on the US political scene, starting with his involvement with the setting-up of ACORN, using doctored secret tape recordings.

He engineers fake controversies, then turns them into big media circuses, frequently with the help of FOX News. And that's all this alleged "outing" issue is - not a deliberate outing, just a Breitbart tactic to bring these 2 guys down, and possibly GOProud with it. Perhaps conservatives have sent word they don't want the embarrassment of GOProud to dilute all those anti-gay marriage pledges the Republican candidates are signing. Hmmmm?

The fact that an openly gay man would work for Perry in any capacity is a disgrace and I hope he is shamed and ostracized as he deserves.
