I will have a place to stay and a connection, but he runs his own restaurant, and co-owns a bar, and has two kids so I can't expect him to show me around.

What is near Hollywood (I believe west/central is where I'll be located) that you recommend checking out? What clubs there are fun? I will be *cough* 21 *cough* for this trip as well!

I'm not looking to get laid either, just want to enjoy myself while I'm there, meet a few people, enjoy the clubs and maybe spend some money.

I mean, what a culture shock from Montana, right? :p

If you are still 20 there are some clubs that do 18 and over nights. All the bars in WEHO wlll card you so that might be difficult If you get bored, shoot me a PM while you are here. I am off work beginning Monday -Jan 3.

LA is a cool area man. Lots of fun stuff to do. The weather is nicer than pretty much the rest of the country. Have you ever been to LA before? If not, Disneyland, Universal Studios, The Getty, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame are probably the major attractions you have to see.

If you want to check out the gay area, I recommend a hike up Runyon Canyon, go workout at 24hr fitness in Weho, and visit a few gay clubs (18+). Dallas guy is right, you will get carded for every gay bar. If you are able to show you are 21, the Abbey is the best gay bar. It is big, lots of younger and cute guys, and there is an outside area that is not as loud, and you can actually talk to people.

What are your favorite hobbies? That can help us give you some recommendations for places to go and things to see.

Hollywood walk of fame is retarded unless you're drunk at 2am walking down it leaving a bar. Stopping to nearly puke and then realizing you're about to over Lucille ball star is pretty fun

Culturally, goto LACMA and the Getty

I don't disagree with the previous comment. However if this is your first time in LA, I would check it out anyway.

West Hollywood... Santa Monica Boulevard.... Robertson Street.... Lots of places, including like "The Abbey".. voted #1 gay/mixed bar in the US.. lots of stars go there too

For non-gay.. go to Sky.... just above Santa Monica, I think the Sunset Strip.. best view of LA at night... Also house of Blues is there and Comedy Club... lots of more famous stuff too

I will be "21" if you catch my drift...

I've been to OC, San Diego, Universal, Disneyland.

I'm here as a poor college student so no 60 dollar admissions for me!

Thanks for all the advice guys.

I do like to workout, but I despise running, (I know this is counterintuitive) I love soccer, volleyball, tennis, video games and the ocean is great. I love to dance, but not just grinding, I like to be silly and people usually move to give me room to dance (I'm almost certain it is so they don't have to be seen next to me and have people think I'm with them! I swear it!)

I will have to check these places out! More input is best!
