Hey guys, I shaved my head yesturday, which is not the first time. I love being bald and shaving my head, but don't do it, because most guys don't like it. I get asked out so much more with a fauxhawk then bald. What do you guys with? Should I grow it out or keep it smooth?

    Hair worked well on you.

I shaved my head for a year. Not a good look for me.

I think you look alright either way. So it's really up to you and if you want to devote the extra time/effort into maintaining it. But I think you should consider getting new frames to compliment your new look.

Do whatever you want to do. Tell the guys that don't like it to go fuck themselves.

Were you losing your hair and you decided to shave it ?

In any case like other posters have said, do what you want to do with your hair, you have to look at yourself everyday in the mirror so your opinion is the only one that really matters.

    I like having no hair.

I found it actually helped... the twinky teens stopped stalking me and thumping off in a dramatic strop and jazz hands when they got the thanks but no thanks.

Hot guys came round to rub the fuzz icon_twisted.gif

Do whatever you want to do.. change can be fun and if you decide you don't like it, just grow it back and no biggie! Above all, do it for yourself and not based on what others think!

the combo of well groomed facial hair and scalp "shaved down to the bone" has worked well for me for the last 11 years.

Short hair would def look great on you ... but bald ... not so much. However, it always comes down to what you like best. As long as the look won't interfere with work dress code, go with what you like. People tell me all the time that I look better with short hair, but I enjoy my current style, so I keep it. =)

That's weird. It doesn't look like your skull is exposed.

    thanks for YOUR opinion.

I was poking fun at the saying "shaved down to the bone." I actually think your current style of hair (facial and on the scalp) really does look quite nice.

    ahhhh, gotcha!

I look better with more hair than that....

I look a bit freaky with bald or buzz cut...not a very good head/face shape for that kind of thing....

But then again when my hair grows out....it's a bit crazy too. My hair is simply NOT straight. I can use my fingers to style it into a big afro without the need for gel or anything like that, I can also make my hair into a "Pauly D" style without gel.......I can make a mohawk without gel, and it will stay UP....cuz my hair defies gravity.

no haircuts for me for now....I might try curling mousse or something to make it look nicer and more curly, and not so damn dry and frizzy, but I'm growing it out for the lulz....I want RJ to be able to see my hair in its full glory...

I like you with hair. Flaunt it while you can!

Bald is beautiful though, and I've had no issues getting laid since I shaved my head for the first time over 20 years ago. icon_smile.gif

New frames or contacts and I think it will work. I did it one year for a fundraiser and I hated it and people said I looked mean, then it grew on them and me and I had a variety guys liking it. I got pics of it on my profile.

I also did the shave look (for charity) and it made me look mean. It defiantly attracts a different crowd.

You have a good head of hair, so you have some flexibility...go with what feels right to you. If you get tired of shaving, grow some hair and flaunt it! I started shaving my head about 6 years ago just because I got tired of the hair grooming process. I also seem to attract more attention as a baldie, so I stuck with it.

If you like the way you look and feel good about yourself, then shave away!
