    and people back then thought the Wrights were crazy..........."if man were meant to fly he'd have wings"...........look at what progress we've made...all because the brave experimenters did not listen to nay-sayers............

    thanks for posting, i live in dayton, oh. carrillon park has a nice exhibit, with actual Wright Bro's machine tools, and a full sze replica of one of their early planes. i remember seeing a tv program that took an Orville Wright hand carved propeller, and had it checked with a modern coordinate measuring machine, and found that his carving job was so symmetrically duplicated from one side to the other, that the propeller was judged 82% efficient. modern computer formed propellers generally are no better than 87% efficient... craftsmanship... and genius, with quiet natures, were Wright hallmarks.

    ~110 years later and we still use combustion engines and propellers.
