Very, very cute but heartbreaking because viewers will run out and buy puppies to put under the tree only to return them at pet stores or put them in shelters after the holiday magic has passed. They really don't know what they're getting into when adopting a DOG! It takes lots of attention and commitment to raise a dog (or cat).

Also do NOT surprise your boyfriend or someone with an animal. Be sure the recipient is an animal lover and is financially and mentally ready to raise an animal.

Sorry to burst the cute bubble but it needs to be followed by a reality check.

The camera work is dizzying and distracting. Also they could have cast cuter puppies.

I adopted 4 kitties this year. They already have 4 months =P

I picked them from a box in the streets... They were too skinny.

I was a mess taking care of them. Waking up every three hour at night to attend their needs transformed me into a zombie for 3 weeks. Feeding them was hard, because they couln't eat by themselves. When they grew up, turned my restroom in a disaster, my curtains were all scratched... But now, I want them to be kittens again; I'm feeling like a daddy that can let it go. icon_lol.gif

A pet is "cute", until you need to clean their mess, see a veterinarian, buy food (a good diet for pets is expensive), buy toys and entertain them... If people will not do this at least, don't know why they want to buy or adopt one. As bigeasydude said, don't gift pets as presents just because is a cute idea.

I hate when I see those bitches with little dogs in the street and dragging them like a expensive trash bag or accessory.

Thanks for the reality check but In my opinion you are overthinking the idea of the video. It doesn't mean I want to get a puppy for my "boyfriend". It just means I like puppies and I like this video.

And absolutely only give a pet as a christmas gift if you are absolutely sure the person wants one.

Took this pic yesterday of Kelly and Joe. Not exactly "puppies" anymore. They are both 15 years old, but still too darn cute!

I agree. While it's a cute video, placing puppies in Christmas gifts gives the uneducated the idea that animals are "things" to be given as commodities. Whatever you do this Christmas please DO NOT BUY anyone a pet for any reason whatsoever. If you insist on giving a pet as a gift then at least please ADOPT it from a shelter or rescue, or better still buy them an Adoption Gift Certificate. I firmly believe that pets need to be carefully chosen by the actual owner and it is a very personal decision. Most pets that are given as gifts, especially puppies or kitties, eventually end up on death row. Please do not be a part of the problem this Christmas.

Thanks for the back up and spreading the word. Your dogs are beautiful. Merry Christmas!
