Usually I spend about an hour to 90 mins a day at the gym, depending what I'm doing that day.

    what about you folks?

I read that Larkin practically lives in the gym. I really admire that. I just don't have the time.

Several hours at a time, whether or not I'm using the equipment. Hell I even sleep in the gym.

It's not jealousy because I would probably crash my plane into a cliff if I had your personality and lack of talent, but yes, I am envious of your alleged vast amount material wealth. That still doesn't mean that anybody cares.

    Now, back to topic.

I used to spend 90min in the gym 4 to 6 days a week, but now, with my shoulder... icon_rolleyes.gif

    BUT !

I'M SO FUCKING EXCITED ! My physio looked at me today, said it was looking really good and that he was done with me, that I could gradually go back to weight lifting.

IT REALLY IS CHRISTMAS TIME, GUYS !

I do live at the gym icon_smile.gif. In a normal day I'll bet there about 2 hours I guess. Over December and part of January, though, I'm doing 2-a-days with my buddies Greg and Will. I'll go lift with Greg for 90 minutes at lunch, then later in the evening lift with Will for another 90 minutes.

Serious question, do your muscle not get fatigued with 3 hrs a day of work? Even if you alternate to different muscle groups, they'd get destroyed after about 2 hrs or so.... I might be wrong since you're much more built than I am.

Lots and lots of water and protein shake for recovery? Plus falling into comas at night instead of normal sleep cycles?

A portion of it will be genetics... My body is very endomorphic, meaning I'm highly predisposed to weight gain. Muscle fatigue and muscle growth hits me differently than it does a normal person.

My muscles are sore, but honestly I take a recovery day here and there, and after 8 weeks I take several days off or just go light to give my body some breathing room... and yet I don't need a lot of rest to make gains.

Gained a stupid amount of weight in the last few months. Up to 240 now. So I guess I'm doing something right... But again, genetics is a powerful factor in someone's growth potential.

I would definitely crash my plane into a cliff if my flying skills were as bad as your social skills.

Social skills can be learned, natural talent cannot.

If I'm doing cross fit, 15 mins warm-up log, 10 mins warm-up activating stretch, 30 mins core cross-fit, 5 mins cools down = 60 mins approximately.

    On days I lift = 60 - 75 mins.

HIIT days = less than 30 mins.

There are days I would just run for an hour or two outside though. Lately I've been really addicted to running. Thanks to my buddy aerovaulter icon_biggrin.gif

    (where is he btw)?

I guess that means you're fucked, because you have neither talent nor the ability to learn.

Yea, I know what you mean by genetics. My body refuses to pack on fat no matter what I eat. I've been following the muscle gaining program and have seen some progress, albeit slow. I know I'll never be as massive as you but I'm quite happy with being proportionate.

Thx for the 8 wks/recovery days off tip btw. Didnt really think about that. I'm planning on destroying every single muscle fiber in my body in one of these wks and take a few days off to recover. Hopefully that'll jump start things.

I just fully checked out your profile. Great job on the weight loss and the research. That's quite rare on a gay fitness site.
