I will. Sister too far away and I look forward to it. If you are, what do you plan to do? I'll probably eat a lot and watch movies.

    Lucky me.
I'll be at a close friend's house, with some other friends, for dinner.

A couple years ago, I was home, alone, on Christmas.
    It wasn't so bad.
    I'm used to being alone.

On the actual day, probably. I'll see family and friends around the holidays, just probably not on Christmas.

No. And only by choice. I have been alone for Christmas simply because I wanted to be.

If you don't want to be alone, infringe on someone else's Christmas. icon_biggrin.gif

ok my family lives back in India and while in India I never celebrated Christmas I do it here. Last year I ended up with a viral fever so christmas for me. icon_sad.gif so this is going to be my first Christmas ever and like a child, I still excited to see Santa Claus in the shopping mall.

I have three invitations this year, one with my boyfriend's, one at uncle's in Brampton and the other with my cousins in Ottawa. I want to be with my boyfriend but I have big pressure from the other two side so I am yet to make up mind.

I will as well, but it's okay....I have two great books to dive into, plan on making a great meal and...since it's supposed to be a nice day here, I'm washing and waxing my SUV.

There's an inner peace and tranquility you get from celebrating the holidays on your own. I'm hoping for some snow though.

I really haven't been "alone" on a Christmas, except between events. Now I have been alone on some Christmas Eves in the past, but usually by choice. I had a few years when just sitting down and actually watching TV and enjoying the evening was awesome! Don't do that much anymore.

I find it a little irritating when some people get all weird about others being "alone".
Some might choose to be, happily, rather than engage in family dischord.
Fortunately I don't have that issue. It's a great time, but we've had a few that
    were a little challenged.

Collapsing at home alone on Christmas Eve--I work retail.

Lazy Christmas morning and then movies and Chinese food with some Jewish friends to help decompress.

Yeah, couldn't afford to get home this year... and saving vacation days for next summer. Family trip to London and south England for entire month of June... Had Xmas's alone before, when I was in the Navy, and again, couldn't afford it, or the time off... I Do wish I had someone here, though, to snuggle with on Xmas Day... icon_sad.gif

With my partner, but no others. Lots of things we thought we might be doing Christmas Day fell through at the last minute, partly because of my cancer.

But late today another gay couple, social orphans like us this year, suggested we all go out for a Christmas Eve dinner. So tomorrow I'll try to make reservations if it's not too late. And also reservations for just the 2 of us Christmas Day, since hubby isn't in the mood for cooking a big dinner for only him & me.

Look on the bright side no one will probably be in the airport. The next day the 26th it is a mad house.
