One good way to kill a fire is to take its fuel away.

    Avoid and ignore them.

Pretty logically with a matter of fact attitude. Arrogance is an emotion.
    I show little toward them.

Interact with them as though they weren't acting that way... An arrogant person expects you to respond not just to what they're saying, but how they're saying it. Respond as if they weren't being weirdos and you'll neutralize whatever power they're trying to have through arrogance.

As everyone else stated, ignoring them always works best for me. They want some kind of reaction so don't give it to them.

I try to ignore them, but if that doesn't work, the bitch in me comes out and I do my best to make the look stupid every chance I get.icon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gif

Smack them in the face and then run as if the IRS were after your ass. Levity aside, in my profession I've dealt with (and continue to deal with) some very arrogant people--many of whom feel that they're entitled to it because of their high-level positions, financial wherewithal, etc. Some of them I ignore as a matter of practice because I prefer to take the high road most of the time, but sometimes they get to me and I find my self putting them in their place in a respectful and civilized manner. Yes, it can be done. If you want to see it in action, go see a trial and observe how good trial lawyers draw blood in a civilized manner.
