God, people are ignorant. They live in Louisiana, the kid in question lives in Colorado. They will never meet each other. Why do they freakin' care?

I'm surprised Scouts are even still relevant today.

Both the BSA and GSA are very ignorant and unaccepting associations. They try to portray tolerance and understanding, but when asked to do the same they flip out. At least he'd be allowed in the BSA still as a boy or a girl. +1 to chivalry.
It isnt the GSA.. its the stupid fundie bigots that are in it in places.. otherwise the GSA has been MUCH more accepting of gay kids.. lesbians OR transgendered.

Isn't there something called Campfire Girls in the US, too, that is more popular than GSA?

Covington Louisiana is VERY conservative, so this doesn't surprise me in the least. Although it's only about 50 miles from New Orleans (other side of the lake), when someone from there asks where you're from and you say "New Orleans", a noticeable silence is sure to follow, as we live in sin on this side of the lake you see. icon_rolleyes.gif

And they're expensive to fix if the stick breaks.

I love my neighbor's(friend's) response to this:

"I love this mother! And I love the way the Girl Scouts of Colorado have accepted this little girl ♥ The girl scouts are lucky to have lost those looser leaders! Their reaction is not like a leader but narrow-minded and cowardly."

I just want to point out that GSA in question is Girl Scout Association and not Gay Straight Alliance.

lol. I just said it because I was caught off guard for a second.

The whole situation is bizarre.... I wouldn't know how to deal with it. A seven yo transgender?
