On Queer as Folk (TV programme), a 17 yr old has sex with a 29 yr old...later on they become a couple...

Would you have sex/go out with someone still in school?

Most people on this site are American & it's against the law.
In the UK 17's legal but no thanks, too big an age gap.

My question was: even though it's against the law, would you still do it?
After all, in Queer as Folk (the American version), the have sex and become a couple...

Like I've said in a previous thread: most likely no. Most teenagers are still very inexperienced at that point, both sexually (physically) and emotionally. It's also during this period of time that the sense of identity usually isn't fully developed. A.k.a. tons of drama. Relationships don't need more drama than they already have.

Age of consent for Male/Male sex varies from state to state. Many times, the age of consent is 16 for men, to have sex without involving the older person in legal drama; in some states, I believe age of consent maybe be 14 for some boys.

With that said, would I hook up with a 17-year-old? Probably if I was also 17. And if I still foolish enough to go after other 17 year olds.

We'd have nothing to talk about, I can pretty much guarantee that from my perspective - the sex would be awful, because he's 17; but if it were good, would be cause for concern because a 17 year old shouldn't have had that much experience.

I started college when I was 17, so yeah, I hooked up with some people that were 6-7 years older than me, but the times were few and far between. But I've also found that between the ages of 18 and roughly 24, normal course is ALOT of change in the way that you view sex, relationships with friends and family, and who you're attracted to.

I've had this discussion before with several of my friends - and they all admit that given their knowledge now, if their past self met up with their present self somewhere in time, the present self would call his past self a fucking toddler - and the past self would call the present self the weird (or in my case, hot icon_smile.gif ) older guy that they won't be hooking up with.

Then again, some people are into twinks - and I'll admit, up until a couple years ago people always said I had a "twinkish" body (I was 148 lbs and 6'3" - not cute) But I personally have never really been attracted to guys more than a couple years younger than I or more than ten years older. However, If Brent Corrigan came along sucking an oversized lollipop and told me he was just "a 'wittle' boy" well then his "wittle" ass wouldn't be so "wittle" anymore icon_smile.gif

No, I would never date anyone under 20. I prefere older men and I think a 17 year old is too inexperienced and immature. I'm not a cradle snatchericon_twisted.gif

Being good in bed does not necessarily mean someone has "too much experience"

So you can... what? Escort him to prom? Pick him up from detention? Smuggle him beer and cigarettes?

Let's go ahead and let adults stick with other adults.

You're right. Just because someone's been around...doesn't mean the sex will be good.

I think you missed my point: which is a SEVENTEEN year old, who is knowledeable to make it worth someone (my age's) while. Then clearly they've been around the block, passed by twice, and stopped for coffee.

Age isn't always the best way to tell how old someone is.

But on probability, a seventeen year old is going to be young in the sense of worldliness, and may be young in the physical sense.

It's not so different from thinking about sleeping with a 25 year old virgin. Inexperience/lack of worldliness is just that, regardless of the age.

In the United States, laws are created by elected policy makers and elected officials (hopefully) on behalf of the best interests of all who are governed. This means that we all must abide by the laws even if we do not agree with them. To break the law is to accept that there are statutory penalties which may be a consequence.

A television show is not reality.

In the U.S. state in which I live, California, it is against the law for me to have sex with a 17 year old person. So, I would not have sex with that person. The day that person turns 18, we may both choose to have sex with each other. In that case, I just might (if he is hot and mutually attracted to me).

Having sex with an underage person is just not worth the legal headache. Avoid doing so if you can at all control yourself.

And yes, I'm the one who in another thread said that when I was 15, 16, and 17 was hunting men in their 20's, 30's, and 40's for sex. I was a bad, bad boy who could have gotten these men into an awful lot of trouble just because I wanted them to bang me mercilessly and repeatedly with their big hot dicks.

It would all depend on how you approached these men and of there were any coercing involved. You can set someone to committ a crime and then alert the authorities to report them. I'm pretty sure that's entrapment or coercion in the least.

But I agree with your point, a 17 ain't worth the headache.

Age on consent varies from state to state and in some states differ for same sex couples, so may not be illegal in all of U.S.

Also, I have. I didn't know it at the time, it was a few days later when I found him on Facebook did I learn the truth. Kids these days with their lies. =/

My cousin's fifteen-year-old son was hitting on me pretty hard when I visited over the holidays. The kid's got a more mature body than mine, very mature and smart for his age, and is stupidly attractive. Took a whole lot of self-restraint to keep that one from turning inappropriate (would never do that, for the record, goes completely against what little I have in the way of morals).
